Didn't last long
I really liked this sprayer when it was new. Unfortunately, it lasted through exactly 5 sprayings before it started leaking profusely at the hose connector. I changed the washer, but that wasn't the problem. On the 6th use the hose actually blew out of the threaded connector. I could see that the threads had failed, which is probably what was causing the leak the previous time -- not the washer. If you want to spend $4 per use, this is a good choice, because it is otherwise a very good design. But that hose connector needs to be made of stronger plastic. I hope the manufacturer reads this.

Not what I expected
I expected something that would siphon the contents of the jar, mix it with water, then spray. It wasn’t until I read the instructions, after I bought the item, that I realized that what you do is put granules in the jar, then the thing would fill with water, then spray. I wasn’t interested in something that added water to the jar.

Good idea, horrible quality
This sprayer is a good idea, let down by poor build quality. There's no polite way to say it - it's a steaming heap of panda dung. The design is good in theory. A clearly labeled mix ratio dial, switchable spray patterns, and a convenient water on/off lever on the unit. However, there are a couple of build quality issues. The seal between where the spray top screws into the reservoir doesn't work due to a combination of poorly matching threads, and an inadequate rubber gasket. If you tip the unit while spraying (which you do when spraying up into trees for example) whatever chemical is loaded will leak out all over the place. The other issue is the spray nozzle pattern adjustment. The different patters are nice, but in addition to the spray, there is a continuous heavy dripping down the front of the nozzle. This happens even when you carefully align the pattern detents. Be prepared to get your shoes and the ground next to you soaked with the chemical mix.I'm quite disappointed because 1) it's a good idea let down by poor quality and 2) I paid more for this than other units hoping it would work. No such luck, and not recommended.

Complete Junk
I had a number of the original Ortho "Dial-a-Spray" ("Dial 'n' Spray?") units over the years, but when they finally gave out, I bought this. It is really terrible. It leaks badly near the fitting with the hose, but it is the sprayer itself that leaks, not the hose connection. The spray setting is so anemic that only the stream setting is at all useful, and of course that's not always the ideal pattern. Finally, the liquid draw is SO slow, even on the highest possible setting, that it take forever to treat any significant area. I wish they could just make the same Ortho units they did years ago. The new ones are better than this piece of trash, but nowhere near as good as the originals.

Good enough but room for improvement
It is perfectly adequate as a means to apply liquids using a lawn but several things like pressure and the siphon levels could be improved for ease of use
