Mesh Router software must be at same version as Mother Router
I use this R6 as a mesh router with the Reyee WiFi 6 Router AX3200 as the Mother. It works perfect. You have to make sure the software versions are the same in the management screen - App or PC. It's easy to do and it will reboot itself. Wait about 10 minutes and everything will function under one SSID. Works great and the price is right.

I'm not a Tech-ie
I purchased this wifi rougher because 5 guys reviewed it & gave it 5 stars each, This Year (01/2022)! They said it had all these options, hook up was easy, all around a great product!Well, I'm not a tech-ie or very computer savvy. It was a little frustrating that night. The next morning I took my time hooking up; my modem, my laptop, 2 smart TV's & my phone! It was very easy once I got it. I don't know what all the tech-ie options are but it works great with my 5G high speed internet! It's the newest, latest, & greatest. It'll be with me for years! : )

Can’t get it to work
I have this hooked up. Followed what little directions provided and did not get it to work. I have searched on where to contact Reyee and how to videos or instructions without success.

Extremely fast
I am very satisfied with this product. I am paying for 100Mbps internet and get the same speed as gigabit ethernet everywhere in my house (about 1700 sqft). I was not expecting this. My devices don't all support Wifi6 either, so very impressive the 5ghz band works so well (between 2 floors).

If you're looking for a plain vanilla mesh router, this is one to seriously consider.
This compact mesh router fits just about anywhere in a 4 inch footprint. When the setup started, the router was functioning in less than 90 seconds. No user intervention was required. The web interface for custom setup is easy to use. Signal speed and strength are consistent. The reason I purchased was for the VPN client/server options. In hindsight, should've read the documentation before purchasing. Assumes good to strong working knowledge of VPN. No option for L2TP was the biggest drawback. No power switch and USB port.Recently saw this router available at Amazon for about 27% less than the full price.

Whole home Mesh (2500sqft +)space gray modern look
Space gray modern look! Love the smart design - prettiest router ever. Very easy to set up on its app and with just one click. Definitely a whole home mesh. Up to 3200 mbps. The router I previously used have blind spots but this one covers seamlessly and totally solves the problem. It could easily be connected with multiple Reyes routers as well. Good investment for a smart home.

I don’t see a difference
I had to reset it already. I would give it more time if Amazon had a bigger return window. My oldest one I never had to reset (Orbi). I also wish it had an app to use vs a website.

Probably works for many users
I'm writing this mostly negative review with a big caveat: it probably mostly works for most users. That said, there's some deceptive stuff here. I bought the router wanting to get some of the benefits of OpenWRT (or similar) but on a wifi 6 router. Some of the reviews/answers here mention specifically that it runs OpenWRT. The good news is that it does run some flavor of OpenWRT. The bad news is that it's a heavily modified version of OpenWRT and a particularly bad one. I immediately ran into 2 issues that diverge from "stock" OpenWRT:1) The biggest is that the router doesn't accept many valid wifi passwords. For example, wifi passwords with underscores, hyphens, spaces, and many other "special" characters are not considered valid characters for passwords. After upgrading to the latest firmware, it seems to have partially resolved this, but it still doesn't accept spaces in the password. Now I imagine for many users this isn't an issue because they either already have or can easily key their entire wifi network to a "reyee conforming" password, but it's not to the wifi spec, it's not to what openwrt accepts, and if you're trying to get it to join another existing network (as I was) you might have problems2) A lot of settings are missing from vanilla OpenWRT. For example, it doesn't contain settings for 802.11v/802.11r/802.11k3) There's some good old fashioned spyware built in. The router phones home to ryrc.ruijienetworks.com and several other systems and there doesn't appear to be any way to inspect what it's sending or to turn it off. Is it phoning home my password? Is it establishing a back-end connection to my network? Who knows. For me, all of these are dealbreakers. For you, none of them might be, though I do think you have to put a lot of faith in your router if it's establishing phone-home practices (e.g. 3). I think every user really would need it to be:1) highly secure (not opening up ports/connections unnecessarily, that could get hijacked/sent malicious data for example)2) low bandwidth so it's not stealing other parts of your internet traffic3) most importantly, highly transparent so you know exactly what it's phoning home and you have a simple option to turn it off
