Excellent kit for the price
To start this is my first arcade/fight stick, thought I’d build one to try before spending money on more expensive parts. This kit had everything advertised, purchased on Amazon from the Quimat seller, and all the buttons and joystick work, no dead parts. The buttons and joystick are a little more clickey sounding than I expected, but once in a box it doesn’t seem too loud, I might also look into adding pads to dampen the sound more later on, for when playing at night. The buttons feel a little “loose”, not extremely smooth to push in, but not terrible, hard to describe. Also if the holes are too tight the buttons become harder to press. The joystick feels solid, the buttons are a little on the sensitive side, sometimes just brushing them will trigger the action, usually they need to be pressed in at least most of the way, they have about a 1/2cm press before they click and hit bottom, which feels pretty good. Again I don’t have any other button styles to compare to.I would like to eventually try an octagonal restrictor plate, this one comes with a square gate and feels good with full range of movement, you can feel the stick hit the 4 corners, top left & right and bottom left & right.Update: the square Gate is ale to be turned slightly to be a diamond so that the corners are felt at top, bottom, left, right, and I think I might prefer this way. This was very difficult to get the wiring correct, tried a couple different diagrams found online and the buttons didn’t line up correctly when playing games, finally found a diagram onGoogle for PS3 use (pic attached) and that showed the correct order for the wires using a standard button layout from what I could tell. I have this kit in a temporary box for testing and playing until I can build a nicer box. This works plug and play with windows 10 (emulators and Steam) and on my PS3, but does not seem to be recognized on the Xbox One, this kit was not advertised to work with Xbox One, just thought I’d add it if anyone was wondering. Felt really good playing Marvel vs Capcom 3.I may be trying some other styles of buttons, possibly a slightly different button layout, and maybe another style of joystick eventually, the joystick feels pretty good tho honestly, very responsive, and the buttons don’t seem to miss their presses. The PCB board says SJ@JX brand on the back side, and there is not a Quimat stamp on the joystick as shown in the photos, haven’t taken it apart to see if there is a brand on the joystick board.I am really happy with this kit, great starter set. I give it 5 stars for delivering what was advertised, except maybe the branding, but overall everything works as they should and feels pretty solid. The only extra parts needed was the box and 4 bolts to attach the joystick.

High Quality Arcade Stick Kit With Enthusiastic Manufacturer Support For Configurations
This arcade stick kit has 10 buttons, a screw-on joystick ball top to attach to a preassembled stick unit, and a baseboard with wiring for all the parts. The wires themselves have good travel to enable some different configurations. All the wires use the same standard as a CPS cabinet, so the parts are interchangeable as they use conventional connections (you could technically buy this for the wires alone). The buttons feel more like the stiffer Seimitsu-type rather than the looser Sanwa-type which the Seimitsu's are more my preference for most arcade games. If you are coming from a Sanwa-type stick, this will take some getting used to in terms of the stick travel, but I think you can get better motion control over a tighter band with the Seimitsu-style stiffness. The quality stands up to mashing abuse which helps with certain games.I wanted to use this with a Raspberry Pi, and while you could stumble around and figure out the connections from the baseboard to the Pi, the manufacturer already worked out the configuration options. I was helpfully sent a photo diagram of the correct connections and the configuration options necessary to map the buttons from the baseboard attachments which was a very nice touch. This all occurred within a business day, and I definitely communicated with someone who actually used the product in my exchanges.

Nice all in one bundle.
The quality of the buttons are good all of them worked out of the box. The joystick is also good smooth movements in all directions. The pcb board has decent soldering. I made a little 3d printed mini arcade cabinet for my son with all the old school emulators. The button have been taking alot of mashing and still all work properly. Overall nice bundle for making your own joypad/arcade for one.
