Perfect for drop cloth creations
Are you thinking about making curtains? Look no further than these drop clothes. At 4 feet wide, with nice selvage edges there will be no need for side seams. Both ends have a nice double folded edge, so if you want to keep work to a minimum, you can just leave it as is, and if you want a nice deep drapery hem...it's all ready to be folded up and blind stiched. I used two of these to make four panels, and they worked out perfectly. The color is a nice neutral, they are heavy enough to provide privacy, but light enough to let really lighten the room. No fears about unwanted seams, I ordered four and none of them had an unwanted seam....they were just 12 feet of straight wonderful material. I did not wash beforehand, I know most people do. I washed afterward, used double the fabric softener and then hung them up wet, so shrinkage was only a tiny bit.I suggest pre-washing if making slipcovers or other things that will be washed over and over and dried of course.Of course these are what they are....they are a tiny bit out of square, and they are not absolutely to the millimeter the exact same length, but that's part of the charm of working with drop clothes....the casual yet rugged....yet somehow feminine qualityI high recommend.

Great drop cloth.
Great quality drop cloth at a reasonable price. I've shopped around a bit and think this drop cloth is a good value for money; it is fairly thick, absorbent and feels good to work on (unlike its more affordable plastic competitors). I'll be back for more!

Curtain Fabric!
I am building a small and very open floor plan house next spring. Instead of doors across the bedroom and study, I will hang curtains that can be drawn when I have house guests. I read about using drop cloths as curtains on the Houzz website. I bought this small cloth to test it out. It launders beautifully. It has a nice 'hand'. Feels substantial but is very soft. It has a rich texture, also. And it's much less expensive than any other fabric I've looked at. I am going to order larger sizes to make my curtains. And I just may buy even more to make a table cloth and napkins. And maybe aprons, too!

Does NOT protect floors!
I read the reviews for this product before buying and even read on an online painter's forum to use canvas drop cloths because paint won't seep through like with sheets but canvas will also prevent pooling of paint (which is easy to step in and then you paint the floor with your feet!) Well, I'm not sure if this is just a poor quality canvas cloth, but paint went right through and now we have some green spots on our carpet. I even bought 2 of these and they both let paint (regular acrylic base paint for interior wall) bleed right through. These will probably work well if you're just being messy like spackeling or sanding because they do shake out well, but don't buy for painting.

Great slipcover fabric!
These wash up fantastically! I then measured, cut and stitched/stapled the slipcover to the chair and a half recliner -- yes, both in 1 piece of furniture. (Deciding half-way through that staples would be easier and I wouldn't need to take this baby off and wash it.) It's comfortable, cool, holds its shape well so far. The dog has been sleeping on it for over a month (Weimaraner) and it appears no worse for the wear. A DEFINITE cost savings over similar quality upholstery-grade fabrics. I love it and want to recover the whole house in lovely canvas. I wonder if it could be dyed well? Hmmm. I sense a project coming on!

It in a nice canvas material!
Paint soaked through on a very small spill so had to put additional protection underneath. After painting was done i found many more spots where it leaked trough onto the under material. If you are not the cleanest painter or a noobie please buy a better drop cloth that is not canvas material or be prepared to have an under layer.

Not for painting...
It is what it says it is: canvas. I laid down plastic underneath, then this dropcloth, as I didn't trust it. Next time I will invest in a plastic-backed dropcloth for paint projects. Can't blame the product for being exactly what the package says, I just won't use it for painting.

No seams- great canvas for projects!
I can't give any comments on the usefulness of these for their intended use, but folks buying these for projects should be pleased. These are nice quality, with finished edges and no seams, lumps, or discoloration. They have an appealing oatmeal color, unlike some which are very grey.I have very tall ceilings, and bought these to use as curtains in my dining room, as the expense of custom draperies at that height was unbelievable- around $1200 for basic drapes! When bleached, ironed, and hung, they look very similar to the linen drapes in the next room, which were quite hefty in price.

Sizing is correct, happy with my purchase.
Good quality and I would purchase again or recommend to others. Would never ever paint without a drop cloth. Even if you think you are the best painter in the world and you don’t get paint anywhere except the walls I would say sure you do.......Worth buying, you will not be dissatisfied

Quality Cloth
Good quality drop cloths. As a general contractor I go through drop cloths more than your average person.Bought 4 of these to test them out and ordered another dozen after using them. The people leaving bad reviews because they bought the product to make something else with need to reassess their life choices. These are drop cloths for painting... not for curtains, costumes, or whatever artsy idea you had.Great for their intended purpose and well priced.

Good project, could be thicker material.
Good sized drop cloth, but could stand to be a little thicker. Some of the paint drops soaked through onto the floor.

Curtain nightmare
I made the mistake of embarking on a large curtain project using these drop cloths. I ordered about 10, started washing, sewing, etc. and the first couple looked great, lined up, etc. Then I realized some of this product are seamed (what I wanted) and others are seamless. The seamed ones are finished on their long sides, while the seamless are finished are their short sides. And they both come out of the wash with completely different dimensions. Needless to say this has turned into my worst nightmare. I keep having to order batches of 10, rooting out the seamed versions, then sending the rest back. I'm on batch number three, which came with only ONE seamed drop cloth out of 10. This project will be the death of me. I get it if you're only using these for drop cloths but for those of us who had other ideas, product description FAIL.
