Aguaphile Optical Swim Goggles Soft and Comfortable Nearsighted Swimming Goggle

Fits well and good prescription, but received with defect so had to return and reorder. One of the clips on side of goggle was broken out of the package.Updated: So I received a replacement, and the right side plastic clip is broken just as in the first one. Twice out of the box, same problem? Obviously this will not be a dependable product or someone doesn't know how to put these together.Sorry! No third try given. :( Will have to try different vendor.

I've used these just twice but they are excellent and it makes a huge difference for me! I've been near-sighted since early childhood and have anxiety about swimming because I associate it with being effectively blind. These immediately increased my comfort level and made me able to swim hundreds of meters without a break. Also they are the most leak-proof swim goggles I've ever owned.If you are an older person with bifocals you might consider going with a lens that's one or two steps weaker than your distance prescription to get a nice compromise focus that lets you see distances pretty well but also lets you check a phone or fiddle with a stopwatch more easily.

I don't know why it took me so long to buy RX goggles! I didn't know they were a thing, and once I did I asked around and was told people have had bad experiences in the back. I went for it anyway, now that we have an indoor pool as a condo amenity. I hate wearing contacts, but love being able to see. I'm not super blind by any means (about -3.5), but it's hard to enjoy the pool with friends if I don't have glasses. I thought these contacts would be a good alternative to contact, and I was right! I think I can even see better with these than with my glasses! They also fit well and stay on. If you're hesitating, don't! Just do a quick internet search to make sure you get the right prescription.

I'm very happy with these googles. This is the first time I've been able to see decently while wearing googles and the price is not much more than a similar pair of non-vision correcting googles. My prescription is -4.25 and non-prescription googles come in only full and half diopters, so I opted for a quarter diopter less correction. I can see well enough and I didn't have to pay prescription prices.I've been using them for over a month now and ran into one problem: one of the strap-to-google connecters broke so that the strap is no longer securely attached to the frame (I was able to jury-rig a fix by reversing the connector). I'll be contacting the manufacturer to see if I they will replace the part.Apparently, this is an issue other reviewers have had. Nevertheless, I'm still quite happy with the job the googles are doing and would be disappointed if I had to swim without them.Quick update: I contacted Aquaphile via website late Friday night, within two hours I had a reply offering to send me a few replacement temple clips. They arrived the following Tuesday and I have to give Aguaphile credit for looking after their customers!

The goggles are comfortable and seem to stick to my face well, although I haven't tried them under water yet, and they definitely are prescription goggles. They come with a convenient if slightly fragile case, two alternative nose bridges of differing sizes, and a replacement strap clip should one of the connecting clips break. However, when I put them on, my right eye's vision was very blurry and the other's was clear. It's true that I have a slightly different prescription in each eye, so I flipped them upside down to see if that would fix the issue, but then my left eye's vision was blurry and my right eye's was clear. Logically, I must conclude that the issue is differences in the goggles' lenses, not differences in my eyes: despite being labeled -5.0 on both sides, one lens makes my vision clear no matter which eye I hold it to, and the other lens makes my vision blurry no matter which eye I hold it to. Therefore, one lens must be a different prescription than the other.I don't know whether it's worth returning them or not, because they're still better than nothing. But I'm disappointed I still won't be able to see well in the water.6-7-18 Edit: Synergistic Visions replied to my feedback and are sending a replacement. While it has yet to arrive and I will update this review when it does, I'm impressed with the genuine value Synergistic Visions clearly places in serving its customers. Upgrading this from 2 stars to 4 for excellent customer service, final review pending the arrival of the replacement goggles.6-12-18 Final Edit: I've received my replacement pair, and it's pretty informative on the standard of quality, I think. The goggles are comfortable if a bit tight, with a good seal. The lenses of the replacements are more consistent with each other, so I don't feel completely blind in one of my eyes, but they're still slightly different if you pay close attention, and are actually slightly weaker in prescription than the single lens I could see with in the first pair. The difference is far less extreme and does not cause discomfort while using them, so unlike with the first, it doesn't bother me, but as both pairs and all four lenses were supposed to be the same -5.0 prescription, there's clearly a small quality control problem somewhere along the line.Ultimately, I would say that these are definitely worth the money to be able to see better while swimming, especially for someone like me whose vision is so bad that I'm functionally blind without at least semi-accurate corrective prescriptions. The customer service is wonderful and the general quality is good. However, it's still important for the consumer to note that the prescription, while close, may still be different than what is actually labeled.

OK they're not an exact prescription but they're close enough that you can see to swim or walk around a pool (but probably not read!). They fit well and seem to be well made. This is the second pair my husband has had in almost 15 years (the others lasted that long) so as long as you look after them, they'll last you very well.

These are great goggles! I have only used them once so far, but they are very comfortable. I was replacing some that were damaging the skin under my eyes. I use them for lap swimming. I can see very well with them, and they did not fog up. Others that I have had fogged up so much that I could not see with them on.Thanks for the great product!

Order came on time and packaged well. Prescription swim goggles work well and I have already used them three times in Lake Michigan and once in a pool. No leaks.

I bought this prescription goggle for my son. My son loves it because he can see clearly. My son said it’s like his second pair of glasses.

I broke the plastic connection piece when trying to adjust the leather stripe. Good that there's a replacement part in the package, but that shouldn't have happened.

Work great and mich cheaper than at the optometrists office.
