Gates Kansas City Bar-B-Q Sauce and Seasoning Rub and Marinnade Combo

I moved to South Carolina from Kansas City over a year ago and I can't live without Gates' sauce.

This yankee girl traveled to Kansas City and instantly fell in love with this sauce. So much so, i wont buy any other and order this often. I do make a great homemade sauce but this is more convenient to use. Same with the rub....i wont use another for my ribs or chicken. They go hand in hand. Thank you, Gates!

This stuff is killer! Absolutely one of the best savory/peppery sauces out there. YOU MUST combine it with the rub, it's that much better with the rub. This stuff is just amazing with chicken or tri-tip. Typically, I won't put a sauce on a USDA Prime tri-tip, but this stuff is just that good. I just really, really wish they would make sure the cap is on tight before shipping it out. Twice I have ordered this, and twice it has leaked; both times, the cap was not completely tight. C'mon people, use common sense and make sure the lid to liquid is tight before shipping.

This was always my favorite when I lived in KC for 50 years. Now I can get it anywhere!

I am from Kansas City and grew up with Gates & Sons Bar-B- Que , there is no other like it in the world. In my Military days I had Gates Sauce and rub sent to me in my numerous duty stations. Nothing has changed now that I am living in Texas, if you aren't using Gates products on your meat - then you aren't serious about Bar-B-Que. Amazon made this possible and at a serious discount - you can't beat Amazons prices.

Once used I did not think I could return the product. This would probably be rated as medium "heat" unfortunately this is out of my league and I gave it away.

Seriously the best tomato / vinegar based sauce on the market . Great tang with sweet notes , and a spiceyness that is not matched . They really know what they are doing with this stuff.The Seasoning rub? Decent . Not the best . But it won't run the tongue out your mouth.

The rub was missing from the shipment, so we didn't get to try it. (customer service was fabulous in taking care of that). The BBQ sauce is really good. Just the right amount of heat/spicy flavors. But if you don't like cumin you won't like this sauce.
