So durable for a compostable bag.
These are the best compost bags that I’ve found and I’ve tried quite a few. They are so durable. Other brands tear when you’re trying to open them. Love these!

Good enough for me
Update: Changed from 4 to 5 stars. I had originally reported that the bag 'weeped'. Two bags later, with the bags accumulating actual liquid over a week's time, I'm convinced I was wrong. The bags do not weep.Original:It seems that there is no perfect compostable bag: every one for sale on Amazon has a fair number of one-stars.I keep a small compost pail - lined with one of these - in my kitchen sink, and I throw all compostable waste into it. Usually I fill up a bag in about five days. And usually it has a fair amount of moist waste in it.I had previously bought Glad OdorShields and they worked fine for me: even at the end of a week I could twirl the top of the bag and lift it out of the pail with no leaking and no tearing. But the Glad bags were more expensive than these, so I decided to try these.I've used them for a couple of weeks. I just now closed the top of a bag that was full to the brim and had sat in the pail for six days. It did not tear - so in that respect it was as good as a Glad bag. And it did not drip. But there was a small amount of liquid in the bottom of the pail - as though the bag had 'wept'.The weeping is not a problem for me, but that's why there are only four stars instead of five. You'll have to decide for yourself whether the Glads are worth the extra cost.Glad OdorShield

Must have in kitchen
My city has passed a request that food waste be in a separate bin “Green” then ordinary trash. These bags work for daily food scrapes. It keeps my yard waste bins clean too. This will begin in 2023 so started using them early to form the habit.

Bags expire after one year: only buy what you'll use & avoid 3rd party sellers (BioBag has great customer service)
Upgrading this review based on the response from BioBag - they quickly shipped out 3 new replacement bags and kindly informed me that they needed to be used within a year. They also mentioned it's best to buy directly from them or Amazon as secondary sellers sometimes sell out of date bags.1. Really important that it says in the description that these must be used within a year! I wouldn't have bought a 3-pack if I'd known.2. The bags sold to me would have been expired when I got them, so watch out with the 3rd party sellers.3. KUDOS to BioBag for great customer service!Original Review: 7 of 10 rip - Nearly every one tore right out of the boxIn the past, BioBags have been okay. Not great, (they almost always fall apart if left a full week and make a mess) but tolerable. At least, when I put them in the bit they were... well, in one piece. This latest box, I just went through 3, everyone tore immediately end to end before I could even put it in the compost bin. We're at 7 of the 10 we've tried so far in this box. Useless & overpriced. I hope it's just this batch, but I'm desperately looking for any other brand.
