Morris Gleitzman strikes again with a super story about Ro. She may not be able to talk, but she can throw a mean jelly custard surprise. And that is how it all starts. What with her dad's marriage to her teacher and their new baby on the way, it is all a bit confusing, but when Ro adopts a cockatoo things really begin to get strange.Especially when she and Amanda try to make a documentary about Darren Peck and his cruelty to birds and he turns out to be a poodle lover (who would have thought?)Can Ro get through the rest of the story without throwing any more jelly and custard?
