Relatable
Author is talented in bring Real Life problems, (often the ugly) into her characters life. Makes them relatable to us. Or if not familiar with what the characters went through or feel, she males us understand. The couple story was great. Stones reaction to her life of privilege, and more importantly the stable, loving, supportive family dynamics was spot on. Many people that did not grow up in a dysfunctional and often abusive household do not get the issues they have to deal with. From trying not to repeat the behaviors, actions of their negative role models. As well the often grooming and manuliplitive brain games the dysfunctional adults use on the kids. To try to get them to believe they are normal and okay with their bad parenting, etc ways.Do not understand what I am speaking of? Read about children of alcohol, addictive, abusive parents relationships and what is common in how they were raised and what they sometimes do not break cycles of abuse.

Fun series
Reading these is a bit like eating potato chips, you can't just read one. These are a guilty pleasure because the author has created such great characters . I am in awe of writers so can create three dimensional people with words on paper, it's magic.

Great Story
Stone and HarlowBook twoAn enemies to friends to lovers story. This was a great story. I’m loving this new series, and getting to know all of these players. Players who have been brought together under horrific circumstances, but have to come together quickly to play as a team.Stone has lost his brother. He has the chance to resurrect his professional hockey career. Unfortunately it would require him to play for his brothers team. He wants this chance. What he doesn’t want is to hear that Brooks has left him something in his will. And he certainly doesn’t want his brothers the pesky lawyer who won’t take no for an answer to keep contacting him. She claims to have answers to who and what his brother was.Harlow comes from a long, distinguished line of attorneys. Brooks has named her trustee for his estate, knowing she’s the only one who can wrangle his brother and his parents when they are notified of its contents.Stone and Harlow do not start out on a good foot. But after awhile, he calms down enough to actually listen to her he learns she was very close to his brother. And probably knew him better than any one. They bond over their love for Brooks, and become good friends. When you add in secrets; selfish parents; destructive teammates; and one very large, overly protective dog, it was an entertaining read. There is a lot going on in this story. Loss and grief do not set the stage for a romance. So this is a very slow burn story.I loved that we got a little more actual hockey ice time in this book. But I would have liked a little more. The first part of this story runs concurrent with Baden. So you are seeing some of the same scenes, but only from different perspectives. (You don’t need to read Baden. Each book can standalone)Dual points of view. No cheating.

Gripping
When the Titan’s plane crashed, STONE’s brother Brooks was killed and the new GM called Stone up from the minors to help them get team together.A lot of this story is about tragedies and demons. Family secrets, abuse, alcoholism and coping with loss. It’s a really good story with the romance between Harlow and Stone seemingly to have been designed by Fate. There wasn’t as much attention given to romance in this book, but it is an important part of the Pittsburgh Titan’s story.

Heartwarming journey to finding self forgiveness, healing and love with heat and humor mixed in
Stone and Harlow's slow burn frenemies to friends to lovers story is a great follow up to Baden's book! I knew this man was going to have some serious emotional turmoil following the death of his brother, but the depth and reasons behind those emotions still hit pretty hard.Stone is overwhelmed with guilt and what-ifs in the aftermath of Brooks' death and he is naturally having a very difficult time dealing with it. When Harlow decides to honor her friend's wish to resolve his estate, she knows she has an uphill battle to fight with Stone but she isn't fully prepared for the level of animosity and hurt that he levels at her in their first meeting. I loved that she stood her ground and didn't hesitate to put him in his place. In fact, she may just be one of my favorite heroines this author has written. She is independent, strong, and funny but she is not without her own vulnerabilities and self doubts as she continuously strives to maintain the life balance she has fought for. This story is a journey to self forgiveness and healing on many levels as Stone comes to terms with accepting his place on the Titans roster, learning his brother's secrets via the journals Brooks left to him, and accepting that he will never have the chance to fix what was broken but that Brooks still loved him anyway. Love is a bit of a foreign entity to him given his family life, so Harlow is a challenge to him but one that he eventually decides is well worth it! She is such a wonderful match for him, and I am looking forward to seeing more of them in the future books of the series. On a side note, I really cannot wait for karma to pay a visit to Keller and hopefully it includes Stone's father too. Last point- I ADORE ODIN! Harlow's dog is a main character in his own right, and as a dog owner, I could just picture some of the things that happened so vividly. I could not stop laughing as he put Stone through his paces to ensure he was worthy of his momma - and of his doggy trust and love too. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next Titans story!ARC received from author

Another rather emotional book for this series
Another rather emotional book for this series. I like how each players' story (so far) is told in the same time frame. I remember bits of this story happening from Baden's POV. But the star of this story was Stone. His guilt, his grief, his pain -- I really felt it all. Having his brother's best friend be part of his healing was wonderful. I loved that Harlow had a connection to his brother. Overall: A solid addition to the series.

Phoenix continues to rise from the ashes
I dirty cried at Baden's book. The loss of life when the Titans plane crashed caused more anguish for those left behind. Survivors guilt and concern that the replacement players and coaches were only there because they weren't dead. Not because they were good enough. That continues with Stone whose brother died in the crash. The brothers had both suffered at the hands of their overbearing, manipulative father and the loss of one son doesn't make him any less obnoxious to Stone. This book is full of angst, anger, jealousy, but ultimately love.Sawyer Bennett continues to write books that I love to read. Thanks again.

Brilliant
Another brilliant book by Sawyer.Loved this book.Loved the storyline between Harlow and Stone. Loved the connection between them and loved how they both fell in love so quickly but knowing they were both each others happy ever afters.Loved her Mum and Dad too and thank God he booted his father into touch. Gee he is a despicable man.Absolutely loving this new series. Well done again Sawyer.

Couldn’t put it down!
I was drawn immediately to Stone and his loneliness and bitterness. Also knowing how hard it would be to get clarity when someone is no longer with us. Harlow has her own battles that she faces every day. However, her supportive family has helped her every step of the way. This book made me laugh, weep and swoon.
