Classic sounds
The songs are all good classics . I think the cd was hyped up more than the way I heard the sound . First generation takes and being involved with Steve Hoffman boosted sales . Some if the songs sound outstanding like steely dan's song. Others nothing helps them much except an original mono mix.

Recommended HiRex standards, excellent sound.
Crisp , clean hirez versions of some favorite tunes. Far superior sound compared to their CD counterparts. They seem to have benifited from careful remastering. Excellent sound and balance, esp on tunes like Blinded by the Light.

I loved it.
The placement of "Bang a Gong" and "Go Your Own Way" sequentially on this CD is fascinating, as it enables the listener to hear that Mark Bolan inspired Lindsey Buckingham. I loved it.

Bescheidene Tonqualität
Gerade der erste Song von den Troggs ist eine pure Enttäuschung. Eine so flach und gedämpft wirkende Aufnahme hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr zu Ohren bekommen. Gottlob sind die weiteren Darbietungen von wesentlich besser Qualität. Dies entspricht keinesfalls dem hohen Preisniveaus dieser SACD. Das hätte man auf einer günstigeren CD in gleicher oder sogar höherer Qualität herstellen können.
