MTI INDUSTRIES 20441PWT 12V Propane/Gas Detector, White

Recieved March 13th 2019. Product is dated January 2018. This seems to be common practice. Going to request a fresh replacement and will update my review of successful.

I had one just like it and it was going off at 3:00 to 4:00am every morning. I had spent two weeks soaping all the lines and plugging off each appliance. I could not find anything at all. So the only thing I could think of was the detector was bad. When I was looking at them I found out that they need to be changed every 5 years. To make it easy to mount it I just got the same one I had and that fixed the problem.

I have tried two of these same units to replace the old, out-dated one. I purchased the first unit and a few months later it started going off. I then purchased a second unit just like it and it did the same thing. Our RV service repair person used his hand-held detector to search for propane leaks and could not find anything that would cause the unit to go off. He checked the wiring and all was installed properly. I then purchased a different model and it is working perfectly without going off for no reason. I won't buy this model again and don't recommend it at all.

I sent it back, the manufacture date was June 2018 it was sent out to me September 2019. Too much of the life gone already.

Yet again this module has let out false alarms... Going with a totally different design this time. I can't keep getting startled out of bed in the middle of the night. Had 3 in less than 4 years and they are supposed to last 5 years!!

I received the Safe T Alert Propane alarm very fast. After reading some of the reviews I was concerned about receiving a year or two old as marked my the manufacturing date, BUT to my surprise it was made only a few weeks ago. I would recommend this item.

Replaced that beeper that woke us up in the middle of the night because it had expired. Easy to wire. Fast and easy mount.

My previous sensor was going off all the time and and this one replaced it perfectly to the point where I could even use the old mountin bracket
