I am an electrical engineer I am experienced in procuring high quality electrical and electronic components for high reliability applications including those used in flight. I was immediately impressed with the quality of this connector. The spring-loaded self-locking collar is a delight! Just push the plug into the connector and the collar clicks into place and stays secure so it cannot come loose from any vibration or accident. The IP67 spec assures that it is 100% protected from dirt,sand or dust penetration and also can be used where waterproof connections are required. The corrosion protection provided by the brass gold-plated contacts make this ideal for use in any application that may be exposed to water. The connections are also provided with two set screws on each wire to ensure a solid and permanent connection. There is even a rubber gasket and cover for the receptacle that leaves nothing to chance. I bought one of these for use with my RV so that I can easily plug my portable generator into the RV to charge the batteries without having to access the battery compartment or fumble with alligator clips that could accidentally be connected backwards. Easily accepts 10 gauge wires I used in my application.

35 Electrical Experience and quality product. Another brand installed on boat lasted two trips and very poor quality wire connection point. This is good quality with a good connection point for the wire. Twist/locking on it does very well and much easier to plug/unplug. Highly recommend

Perfect on my Gheenoe LT 25 for now mounted trolling motor. Easily snaps in for the connection, and easily twists off. It has a spring action that keeps it secure.
