DC Collectibles Comics Super Villains Black Adam Action Figure

I should start by saying I love the character. And if you do too then just get this figure. This figure, like all dc collectibles I have encountered has great paint. Some people have complained about the paint not looking like the prototype but mine is very close. No cow pattern on the chest for me. The face paint is a little less dramatic but I am fine with that. It has a good weight in the hand and seems solid. Some of these dc direct figures have been a little to solid and prone to breaking at the joints rather then flexing when you attempted to free stuck joints. That doesn't seem a problem here and all joints were easily freed up. My only real complaint is that like most dc direct figures this one favors sculpt over articulation. I am generally fine with this and I am here for the most part. However I do have an issue with how little the head moves. It is only a swivel joint and because of the sculpt he is stuck looking down. Makes him seem broody or maybe he just has low self esteem, whatever the case I don't like it.Pros:-great paint-nice weight-great sculpt-good plastic-amazing capeCons:-Limited articulation-a little too much oil on the joints out of the package

The Black Adam figure is a solid likeness to the character in the comics. Some differences noticed from what the photo looks like and the actual figure are that the figure i received has a greyer skin tone, while the photo makes it look like he has a sun burn or pinkish skin tone. Also, the lightning bolt on his chest looks nice in the photo, but the figure I received looks like he has a cow design in the lightning bolt. I'm not sure if the figure will have a different look on his lightning bolt from one another, just something I wanted to mention.The figures cape looks very good and I liked how it looks torn. The cape also has a hood attached to it, but it can't be moved and placed onto the figures head as it's fixed onto the cape solidly. The head turns left and right, but you can't make him look up and down at all, which is a slight problem since his head is faced down a bit, making him look down no matter if he looks left or right.The figure I received had a bad paint smudge next to his left eye. It looks like the eyebrow was cut half off and smudged across his face, so I wasn't happy about that. Paint issues happen, so I don't think this is on all or most figures, but just on mine, so lucky me.Overall, it's a good figure, but i was disappointed in it. If you collect the New 52 figures, I think you'll like the figure. If you pick and choose who to get to save money, I'd pass and save your money for possibly the Crime Syndicate coming out early next year, or maybe even the Suicide Squad figures.

I have to say, this figure was a big disappointment. I really like the look of the New 52 Black Adam, but this figure does not do him justice. The best thing about this figure is the cape, they did a really nice job getting the worn look; sadly this does not transfer to the rest of the figure. The joints, on mine at least, are a soft plastic, and do not seem solid. In fact, my figure's legs are wonky due to the softness. Like everyone else has has, the lightning bolt could have been a lot better, and he needs to be able to look up (or at least at eye level)!I have several other DC figures from various brands and lines and I would say this Black Adam is on par for a DC Universe Classics line, not DC Direct (or DC Collectibles now). This one figure will not stop me from picking up other figures in this line, namely Captain Marvel, but for anyone who doesn't need to complete a collection and is on the fence, I would say skip this one.

Worst of all the dc new 52 figures....by far. I won't comment on the style. Someone else said he looks too much like a vampire or zombie. That is for the buyer to decide. The execution of the figure is where I will focus. The lightning bolt on his chest does not look as good as in the photo. They only used white and black paint for it and as another reviewer said it looks like an odd cow pattern. The cape is nice in design and is torn up a bit, but it was cast in a cheap plastic that makes it lose some of its design. The NECK is the worst. He can't look up at all. I hate having him stare at another characters feet. I have not found a pose for him that I like. I don't usually complain about the lack of articulation in dc figures but this guy really needed a swivel waist. I just bought the dc 7 pack of heroes and villians.....that is a much better set. I have all the dc figures except manhunter, shazam, deathstroke, and gl simon baz (will purchase all but baz later). This figure pails in comparison to the rest.

despite the dissapointing head movement. this figure is absolutely amazeing! dont listen to all the negative replies. i did! iwaited to buy this figure till it went lower. because of the negative comments! this figure is awesome! u can still get some cool poses outta him. he just looks fantastic! paid under 20.00 for this figure. and i think its my new favorite! supercoool! and i collect the 40.00 motu classics by mattel. tho the articulation pales compared to them.this figure more than makes up for it in detail. and hes just unbelievably BADASS!
