Lite easy going reading book
I liked the flow of the book, but I knew who the killer was off the bat...which could just be me. There are some grammatical mistakes that made me have to read sentences a time or two but other than that, a nice easy read. My favorite kind of book.Enjoy. 🙂🙃

Many pluses
On the plus side:+ it was fun!+ it had familiars, I always love that!+ it has a magical bookshop!+ it had a well-thought-out plotOne the minus side:- nothing, really. It’s a very promising start to what looks like it could become a great series!

Murder most sinister
Our heroine inherits a bookstore from her murdered aunt. Oh, and she is a prime suspect in the murder. Overall, not good and she is going to have her work cut out for her to straighten it all out (and catch a killer). This is book one of this cozy witch mystery story. The story is well written, easy to read and full of action. The characters are also well developed which helps bring things together. I really love the bookstore setting. Along the way, we get a nice bit of mystery and magic to keep our heroine busy. I like her a lot and look forward to seeing more in future books. Overall, a great start to a series.Highly recommended.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout for review purposes.

Magical read
Mercy Brew is at a crossroads in her life. Her marriage has ended, she has recently lost her job and is about to become homeless. Then one night she gets a mysterious package from the aunt she hasn’t seen in ten years and a call from her aunt’s vampire lawyer that said aunt has died. When she goes to the will reading she finds out she’s inherited both her aunt’s home and bookstore which is perfect for Mercy as she is a bibliomancy witch. She is overwhelmed and conflicted so happy to have this dream occupation but sad over the circumstances in which she acquired it. On top of all this her aunt’s step daughter is causing a ruckus over the will until Mercy quite literally trips over her body as she goes to leave the store for the day. Now Mercy is suspect number one and she must find the real killer before she winds up in prison for crimes she didn’t commit. An enjoyable and magical cozy. Great mystery to keep you guessing. A bit too cutesy with the name but otherwise a very good book.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Good start to series
This was a great start to this series. The main character is a well written character with a great storyline that comes with her. She is going through a lot and then better things begin to come her way, there is great character growth along the story and I cannot wait to read more of her story and about this world.
