The Marquess of Mischief (The Rakes of Mayhem) Paperback – December 21, 2021

Really good writing. Engaging, thoughtful, and very easy to enjoy! I really liked reading it, and enjoyed the delicious ending.

This is a hard review to write. I did like the H/h and especially enjoyed how the H thought of ways to include the h in activities. She was blinded months ago. If the H didn't keep saying how he wasn't ready for marriage, ok. But, after he's said it multiple times he decides very quickly he is going to court the h. It was baffling to me. I thought more would be told about the h's accident. She kept saying there was something, but she couldn't remember. Nothing was ever explained on this.The twists with the villains - dumb and dumber warmed my heart. While the two brothers are conversing about what they got themselves into, I felt sorry for them. Surprised I know!! lol. The ending didn't give closure as to what happened to them when the dust cleared. Nor what happened to the other villain - hate lose ends.Some parts were touching with the H/h and some seemed to dance over their relationship. On the whole, I enjoyed it. Thought some parts should have been fleshed out more.There is lovemaking, within marriage, heat level 1.5 out of 5.This is book 2 of the series, but a stand alone. No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, tiny bit of romance and steam. There is suspense and some twists that raised my rating. I also liked the epilogue a few months in the future. (ljb)

Can he save her from a mad revenge plot…When I read the blurb a few weeks ago, I was determined to read it. There is nothing more I love than a hero/heroine who fights their way in life whatever impediment destiny has thrown on their path.This is sweet love tale with a dash of danger.Diana and Christopher are perfect together, and there is nothing which can come between them.The story just could have been shorter as there are aplenty of little nothings which distract everyone from the main plot. If the maid dozes, she might be too old and need to retire, if the valet has reason to be grumpy, his employer must learn why…The narrative jumped a bit too much from here and there, which drowned the action part, as why the villain goes from a revenge scheme to killing the prince regent.In all, it is a cute tale with a lovely couple.3.5 stars rounded up.𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 onscreen sweet lovemaking scene

This story is full of lots of little twists and turns that keep you engaged. My heart goes out to Diana and how she has to adjust to life not being able to see. It is sweet how Christopher thinks up activities for her to enjoy.This is a fun story to read.

This is well written and is a nice page turner. A bit more sexual descriptions than I would consider a sweet romance to have. So in short, swearing is low <12-15; heat is moderately low, plot well done, character development is very well done. For many seeking a good story this will fit the bill nicely.

It was a fun adventurous read, I loved the dynamic between the characters, and how the heroine despite her vision loss, she was determined to not give up on the fact that it could come back, and she had an amazing man to help her along the way of discovering new activities to do, such as fishing, riding again and so much more.I definitely enjoyed this story, I look forward to the next book.

Treason, conspiracy and revenge all entangle to intrigue and wrap you up in the discovery of a sweetly budding romance!I was determined to read this being drawn in by Diana's blindness and my love of the refreshing first book, The Earl of Excess. THE MARQUESS OF MISCHIEF flows with the same steady intriguing pace and kept me just as absorbed in the pairs fate until the end. I especially loved how the romance, shaped around Diana's reaction to her blindness and initiated by Christopher's desire to protect her, quickly flourished into attraction, friendship and the promise of so much more. Diana's levity and strength of determination radiated and fascinated Christopher as he fought to balance his growing love for her with his duties for the Crown.There is a real sweetness to the romance between the pair that breaks through the imminent danger that lurks in the shadows. Creating a closeness and believability that drives the plotline with suspense and keeps you reading and wishing for that happy ever after.I can't not mention, Bandit... I just love how Anna always adds warmth, heart and wit through a beloved pet and with such a devoted horse as a secondary character - one who really added life and potency to the tale, interwoven with a fabulous spot of heroism - well he truly deserved the accolade.Helping as a whole to evolve and craft a really enjoyable tale of escapism, hope and love!All in all a great read that can be easily enjoyed as a standalone.

A blind woman, a lord working in Intelligence, a madman and a murderous plot combine in this enthralling story. Highly recommended.I won a free copy of this book from the author in a competition.

I enjoyed reading this book it is well written. I would recommend it for anyone who likes a little mystery.
