The spot it throws is visible outdoors in sunlight, and at night you can clearly see the beam reflecting off of dust or water particles in the air. I have it attached to my telescope OTA as a gross positioning aid to help me get targets into the finderscope easily, and it works great for that.It uses a micro-usb port for charging, and does include a USB-A to Micro-USB cable if you don't already have one. I have not measured the total battery life as it has an intermittent push button switch, and I've never ran out of charge in normal usage.Tube diameter measures 0.85 inches and the length without the "star field" cap is just slightly over 6 inches.

this laser is so strong if you point it on your skin you can feel the heat burning your skin. I can only imagine pointing it at your eyes for an extended period of time can lead to blindness. 100% not for kids, id recommend this for adults only and be careful leaving this thing laying around if you have children, I have a 4 and a 2 year old I was showing this to and first thing they wanted to do was aim for the eyes so best believe this thing will be locked up or hidden away somewhere safe.

It’s a good laser -1 star because there is no true 18650 instead a small lithium cell. It’s a very lightweight laser but sturdy battery life is decent charging time a few hours. It’s only rated as under 5mw to appease the law in testing this specific one does a staggering 131 mw!!! The beam is easily visible dark and in some day time situations but the spot is visible extremely brightly on a sunny day! Please this is not for pets or kids this can cause permanent damage to you or others eyes! Otherwise enjoy! It great for astronomy.

I use the product to play with my old puppy. He loves laser lights! I don't have to keep buying batteries for this light. I am confident about the recharging plug in.

I was going to use this product for my cat.Its very high quality so maybe the low score isn't warranted.However the reason im giving the low score is because the light is SO BRIGHT that it will give you headaches if you look at it for more than a couple seconds in doors.Im not talking about shining it into your eyes, im talking about looking at the dot that it produces on the ground will make your vision blurry and have a similar effect as looking at the sun.VERY powerful laser
