WOW
A real page turner. Could not wait to get back to it anytime I had to put it down. A great example t all of what a true leader goes through in desperate situation and the things that must go through their minds. A really admiral edition to the series.

The best of the series so far
I could nit pick some of this book but I really don't want to because it was A lot of fun to read and that's the important thing. It's way out there on the scale of plausibility and believability but the author got it right and made it fun enough to read that it really didn't matter. This is a crazy story of a mashup of allied troops that go into Iran to try and capture some nuclear weapons the Iranians have made, which are stolen by some bandits, which are then stolen by an Afghani warlord, they go to Afghanistan to steal them back on the way there they encounter Russians Iranians Afghanis bandits just about anything you could imagine and manage to kill them all with of course huge casualties. As unlikely and implausible as the story is it just kept coming and it was hard for me not to enjoy it, despite the many lapses in research. Personally I find it annoying that nomenclature is not used properly, and sometimes facts are stated that just aren't true. Personally I'd rather see some kind of magic gun appear out of nowhere rather than to have an existing weapon system mischaracterized. But these kinds of things are relatively minor in this particular book so I'm given him a pass on it because I really like the book. It just doesn't stop long enough for me to worry all that much about those kinds of errors. If you like this kind of story, this is pretty much a standalone book in the series because none of the other books have the same characters in them. So if you decided to read this one first it really wouldn't matter much. The whole series is available in Kindle unlimited which is how I got it so I didn't have to pay anything extra for it, and that was a major plus. I I think if I had to pay for The books I probably would not have gotten this far in the series because the other books are okay and they're fun to read but they're just not as good as this one. So I probably would never have gotten this far.

Decent book
Good explanation of plans and strategies. Not just bang and boom. Everything is possible over there in the middle east.
