Princess Castle Portable Play Tent

The good: Very cute tent. Just the right size for one or two young kids plus toys, pillows, etc. Could fit up to 4, but it wouldn't be very comfortable. The base is twice the thickness as the sides, and I do not see that my 2 year old will be able to tear any holes in the floor with normal use. The material for the sides and top seems a little thin, but it has held up for several uses so far, including a birthday party. It only takes about 2 minutes to set up, despite the poles. It folds up easily, poles and all, into a very convenient carrying case that is about 12 inches in diameter.The bad: This is NOT a pop-up tent as some reviews state! It has 3 poles just like a camping tent. They fit into it tepee style. If you tie the poles to the sides of the tent (as it is designed) the tent's exterior loses it's round shape, and appears more lumpy around the top. This does not affect the base or kids' ability to play in it in anyway. If you leave the poles un-tethered, then it seems like it would be easy for the kids to snag on them as it creates a significant gap between the poles and walls of the tent, so I tie them and deal with the funny shape.Overall, it is worth the price paid. My 2 year old LOVES it! Just realize that you will have to deal with tent poles, and while 2 minutes may not seem like a long setup time, it makes a difference if you will have to take it down and set it back up every day, especially compared to true pop-up tents.

Clearly I should have paid more attention when buying this (and admittedly I didn't spend much time on it) but this is NOT a popup tent. This is a tent that you set up. I could have gotten past that but the poles they include are NOT made to go with this tent. When you set it up the poles are too tall for the side so when you tie them in they create odd lumps in the top portion. The end result is a weirdly shaped thing that is completely unstable. My guess is for the product picture they attached something to the flag (which doesn't stand up when set up) and just help up the whole structure for a decent picture. It took about 15 minutes after this was delivered before I was back on here setting up the return. We'll be spending more money and buying her a better hideaway.

The tent is really cute but it doesn't seem very sturdy or that it will hold up really well. It was very easy to put together.I guess it was worth the price I paid for it. Target sells one that's a little bit more expensive and I wish I would have bought that one instead.

I realise that this is a budget product at a cheap price. The item itself is cute and has ok detailing.However the rods inside attach themselves very badly - no security at the top and my daughter an easily pull on them. Also if I secure them well to the inside the tent takes a weird shape, not round but 'lumpy'.I would spend the extra money on a good quality one instead.

This was supposed to be a gift, but doesn't come in a box, no instructions or picture. Just shipped as if it were opened and used. I can't give it away like this. Will have to be retirned. So disappointed

This tent is super cute but the construction is somewhat lacking. I guess I was hoping for more, but should have expected just okay since it's one of the lower priced castle play tents.

My daughter loves this tent. I do not love it so much, however. I get her out of the bath and she takes off butt naked and hides in it. It's a game to her. It's work for me. :) But she loves it and I love that. Easy to put together, fits in the corner of her room.

the product doesnt stay upright like shown in the pic.the manual wasnt good either.not satisfied with the product.brought for a party but wasnt kid friendly and seller didnt take back as the return period was only 1 month.not happy at all. next time would rather buy from a shop where we can check the product before buying.
