I wanted to engrave custom logos for my Porsche and other exotic cars I own but couldn’t find anything that was easy to use and easy to operate until I found a tool D1 that not only met my expectations but I amAble to engrave on anything it’s such a versatile tool. I recommend buying this tool for all your custom projects. The customer service of Xtool is also amazing a value added feature in addition to great price. They are very responsive and communicative I had a missing component they took just few days to mail it to me. Very reliable and efficient

First laser unit I have owned and so far it is meeting all my demands and is fairly easy to use. Wireless connectivity is my only negative. It does connect and do certain functions but the laser never starts up. Direct connect of my computer works great and is my primary choice to use with this machine so the wireless issues are not important to me. Overall a great product, solid construction, and works well.

It was super easy to assemble. It's mostly done for you. It works with XCS and Lightburn. That's the good news.When I received it, the limit switches were defective. Any time it moves along the X axis, the limit switch alarm goes off. I tried to call support and got no answer. I emailed and the only response I got was no help. One of the main reasons I got this machine was the limit switches, so disabling them socks.If I get some help from support, I will update the review, but right now I'm not thrilled.EDIT: I have heard from XTool. They offered a refund, of which I didn't want, but instead they are sending me new limit switches. Support was right on top of it. I can't give 5 stars since it had issues to start, but 4 for the quick response seems reasonable.EDIT: I received my new limit switches yesterday. I installed them and tested this morning and all is well. While I am disappointed in the initial failure I am extremely happy with the support team and this product. I am going to leave the review as four stars because it did have the initial failure that I feel should have been caught in testing at the factory.

Very pleased with the performance of the xTools D1 laser engraver and cutter. I have only had it for a few days so I'm still learning by trial and error how to engrave on various surfaces. Fortunately, there are lots of instructional videos on YouTube. It came very well packaged, and the detailed instructions made it easy to assemble. I had no trouble downloading drivers and upgrading the firmware. I didn't realize when I ordered this model that it had been discontinued and upgraded by the D1 Pro. But there was a big, discounted coupon added and since I'm new to this business I don't think I will miss the added features of the D1 Pro. There have been lots of negative reviews, but I have had no issues with the unit so far. Do your homework, read the instructions and watch lots of YouTube and you shouldn't have any problems.

Update: this company is a nightmare to deal with. Makeblock (the company that makes this item) said they would give me a full refund for this product, then lied about it and never gave it. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK. When you buy this product and it screws up on you, you’re out of luck. They will tell you they’ll issue a refund, then ghost you.Original post: I purchased one of these units with the idea of engraving wood and some drinking glasses. Received a unit and it was faulty, skipping while printing - apparently a KNOWN ISSUE with these machines. I sent it back, received a refund (originally) and purchased another one, again with high hopes. The product is not reliable when it comes to printing. I have printed dozens upon dozens of small and medium prints (since it continues to skip on bigger prints) and only about half the time the machine gives the quality you would expect from such a machine.Would return if I could, but sadly I cannot since I am beyond the return cutoff through Amazon.Don’t waste your money. Buy a proper engraver and something that you’ll never have to worry about. This machine has consistent issues.

The few testing I made are really good. I am really glad I got this magnificent laser. I love it.

The media could not be loaded.  Update check video!!: I bought xTool D1 60W Laser Cutter and Engraver with Rotary and Material Box, 10w , but i don't know why, the change the target as if I had bought the 5we, in other words, my review is on a lower power product*An overrated and expensive product, problems that you will encounter, the frame is aluminum, if the parts are not well designed, if there any cough, the bolts will not enter naturally, and you will be forced (adjust, damaging the inner rings)Second red point, they do not correspond to the parallels X and Y, make you a challenge to center the product, the manual focus is a big problem (d'une surutilisation à court terme), it does not make a good engraving on steel, and forget about glass.I bought the machine because for the great reviews on youtube, (but nobody tells the truth , engrave on steel you have to paint with a 120 dollar spray(to mark in BLACK).It's faster to engrave with 12 volt electricity on steel (1000x)!, or bluing the glass with cream or sand( you don't need black paint, tape)Pros: If you are going to play with wood, this is your toy!Cons: *
