Better than similar models costing more
Being a tour guide I've used a similar unit for a number of years, but this is by far the best. Not only is it better built than the Pyle-Pro units, it also comes with superior accessories in the form of two microphones that are not cheaply made.Look no further.UPDATE, December 17th, 2013In use the on/off switch in the transmitting unit was a problem, and after some trial and error I was able to fix it by squirting some fine oil onto the switch contacts. To get rid of static one has to fine tune it with small screwdriver, though this isn't made obvious.Despite this I was going to order a second unit, but I see the price with shipping has gone up several dollars. It was previously $11 plus dollars including Prime shipping so I'll look elsewhere.

Nowhere near professional, but you knew that right?
Product is , as most assume not professional. While might be OK for basic camera mic if not used for pro, in a PA allot of extra noise is picked up.Lav on a PA was too weak to pick up to an acceptalble volume before feedbackHeadset has a much larger mic head then needed so looks like a operator style as it has a right angle to it under the big screen. It is super sensitive as touching the boom is even picked up and amplfied. The headset does function but as I said. picked up allot of unwanted movement.WhenI first put the batteries in the mic was cold and it did not seem to function. As it warmed or condensation from the temp change left , it started to function (I used my own better quality batteries.)Line of site range was OK but with my back turned I got 15 feet and was getting elecronic hum/buzznoise as it was going in and out of range. Adjustments to the frequency screw showed it was already at its best range. VHF is just going to have issues at this quality. I have an old Nady 101 and also get performance issues so know VHF is problematic at the low bandsAs some pointed out for these things. the 1/4 jack on the receiver is supporting the weight of the receiver and possible you can break the connection if not careful. I had some play in the one I tested. So in the end it functions. I am not sure what the use would really be. The lav would work if you had a larger system with speakers further away so you could pump more gain before feedback It might work better for a camera mic but I would not recommend it for anything you are doing on a pro level . Headset is better but large plastic right angle head is ugly and the mic picks up all movement of the boom, even just touching it.For something cheap, you can treat it as a toy. Maybe if oe had a better mic on theses it could perform better but as it is, it is toy level.

Best deal
This was the best deal I found for a wireless set up. The mics are clear enough to practice vocals. You might need to tune the frequency properly but aside from that great economical product.

Daughter loved it
Typical 7 year old diva knew exactly what to do with this Christmas present. Performs as described. Would purchase another when available
