Fragile display
I've had to replace the display twice in less than 3 years, and I have had to replace the WiFi card.I do like the aluminum chassis is is rock solid, I do like the backlit keyboard & touchpad. It is a little disappointing that it doesn't have a Ethernet network jack.Would I buy Acer again, yes!

Very satisfied with this laptop
I love this laptop. I have had it for almost a year and have had no issues at all. I can't believe how much I love the touch screen. It did come with extra stuff I didn't need already install, but I just simply uninstalled them. I bought this because 2 of my friends have one and they both love theirs. I'm glad I listened. It has just the right amount of storage capacity for me and the screen size is great. I saw several negative reviews listed so I thought I should review my experience. I would recommend this laptop (and Have) without reservation.

A/c cord plug
So far so good except that the a/c is poorly designed and broke so we’ve had to purchase a replacement cord 2 months after our purchase

Arrived with a Hacker Inside; Appalling Customer Service
I had patiently waited all year to treat myself to a new computer on Black Friday so that I could get back into my writing. I opened it Christmas Day and turned this thing on four times throughout January total before returning it, which was also a hassle! The first time I turned on my brand new computer, a blue Error message with a frowny face popped up onto my screen then proceeded to take twenty minutes to load my login screen. I never got the login screen. The blue error message with the frownie face immediately came back on and took twenty more minutes to attempt to load this computer correctly. I finally get to sign in, go online because I needed to send an important email with attachments. After sending the email, the email sent to my account FOUR times in a row, some missing certain attachments from the original message. I was scared there’s a hacker so I changed my password from my cellphone and the repeat emails stopped! I waited another week to try the computer again, and the blue error message immediately came back on. I closed the computer. This same thing happened the following week too. I knew my window to correct this issue was dwindling so I tried ONE more time and the blue error message popped back up with the frowny face (mind you, this is my fourth attempt now and that blue error message popped up each time I turned it on!). It took twenty minutes to load my login screen. I was able to go online. This time I tried eBay. The computer was running extremely slow but I waited patiently. As soon as I logged into eBay, a pop up window would not stop reappearing as soon as I pushed the ‘x’ button in the corner of the ad. It popped up immediately after pushing the ‘x’. I couldn’t even log out of eBay! Again, I changed my password from my phone and called Amazon. They told me to contact the manufacturer. I did that. It was an automatic recording that immediately sent me to a third party company because apparently, although I was holding the WARRANTY in my hands!, they claimed the computer was not protected. The third party company didn’t provide me a name of the business or their name as a customer service representative. After explaining my side, he replied with, ‘yes you do have a hacker, you must’ve clicked an ad when you turned on the computer. I can correct this issue for you for a nominal fee.’ I told him that I just logged into the computer. I didn’t DO anything funky. And that how can they expect me to pay to correct this issue when it was my Christmas present and it arrived scary, I was not irate. A third person speaks up and starts to try to convince me to pay them money to fix my issue. I didn’t even know there was a third person on the line! I was so weirded out by their unprofessionalism, the fact that there was a third person listening in without my knowledge; I said ‘you’re probably the hackers’ and hung up. Then I called Amazon back. They told me they cannot replace my present even though it was within my return date and I was holding the warranty! They told me that it wasn’t covered under warranty and that they can give me a full refund so I can find myself another computer. I was saddened by the fact that instead of being able to get a new computer replaced since I spent $500 on this broken computer, and they want me to possibly spend more money on a new one because I had waited until Black Friday for the great sales. The guy was rude, ‘what do you want me to do about this ma’am? I can give you the full refund.’ I agreed hesitantly. The man ignored my words and began to bully me over the phone. I started crying. He said, ‘you don’t have to cry.’ And I hung up. I began the return through my app. And I’m STILL extremely sad that I don’t have a computer, one year later, because the money I saved up for one was a wasted attempt when this was the first major Amazon FAIL I’ve ever had! Terrible customer service! Sketchy third party company associations! And the only Christmas present I bought myself had to be returned. I guess I’ll try again in ten months when Black Friday 2019 comes around :(

Acer is great - but missed it on this specific model.
So I have always loved my Acer laptops, and bought this to replace a 3+ year old one that I had actually wore out/ broke the touchpad on. So this was the "upgrade" to my beloved Acer Aspire M5 ultrabook - and even new it was never quite right. Boots up slower than the old one. Wake from sleep is slower to enter password, then it takes like another 30 seconds for the screens to come up where it will respond to what you are trying to do. (for reference, my old ultrabook reported a standard that wake from sleep to online was like 5 seconds) Has always done random "not quite right" things, like where the touchpad will stop working, but if you use touch the touchscreen it works, and then the touchpad starts working again. Sometimes will not wake from sleep, causing an improper shut down because you have to hold the power down to force shutdown and restart. Last fall, it just started freezing when doing things like opening a tab in Chrome. Then it began to crash- unrecoverable to the point of having no choice but to use the Win Recovery to reinstall and start clean. After this happening and still having constant registry errors, and the computer randomly not responding what seemed like all the time, I got Acer to warranty it. After they sent it back, they determined it "tested fine" and reportedly did some updates. Upon return, to start up - literally over 10 minutes. It is still not responding right but I don't know what else to do. In researching this model hoping to find help/ fixes, it seems there are a lot of others having problems with this particular model, but no clear fixes yet. I am not sure what to do next - my computer is necessary for work, and less than 1 year old, but not reliable when I need it to be. At this point, if you are reading this, it is probably a refurbished model or old stock from somewhere, so I would stay away. For this price, there has got to be better choices that will at least operate as advertised.

Me gusta!!
La atención del proveedor excelente!!El equipo muy bueno, versátil y ligero.Aunque tal vez exagere en el tamaño, unas pulgadas menos hubieran sido excelentes, sobre todo cuando la uso como tablet.
