This is a very welcome if unusual - and thankfully brief - book. It explains everything very clearly and I only wish I had had it a few years ago when studying quantum field/particle physics for a masters degree. It's a pity the author has to bring in his Christian/religious beliefs - if only briefly. I find it just as irritating as the advanced physics books I have in which the authors introduce proverbs, religious quotations, or just dedications to family - again, briefly - in hebrew or arabic script. Is this to show some allegiance or another? At least the habit of many authors introducing their works with latin quotations - to show off their erudition? - is long gone
