A good concept
I like these gloves a lot. They've been pretty handy with more than just planting... Such as separating wet newspaper for mulch during a rainstorm. It also makes separating weeds/grass from my smaller, more delicate seedlings. That being said, it's not that easy to use with our clay-like dirt for digging. I still like to use them for seeds and seedlings. Smaller jobs. I dunno if I'd like using them for something like a bulb unless the ground was softer. It's a toss up because I feel like I'd like sharper claws, but we have littles running around so these are definitely safer. Also, I bought this pair with the claws on both hands and I'm glad I did. I had the pair with just the claws on the right in the cart, but I decided to get these because my grandpa is a lefty so we could use opposite badger and regular gloves. HOWEVER, I find that I dig with the non-dominant hand and use the dominant for most of the non-claw work. Just a thought if anyone is debating on what set to buy.

I liked the idea that I could dig with these gloves ...
I liked the idea that I could dig with these gloves and not worry about ripping out the finger pocket or hurting my nails - and they do work good for that, but they are a bit awkward for anything but digging. It may be that you just have to get used to them. I did use them, but found myself wanting to put on regular gardening gloves to "get a good grip" on things. I plan to use them just for weeding. Like I said, I think you really just need to get used to them. I bought the pair with claws on both hands, maybe I really only needed the claws on my dominate hand. I am happy with the purchase.

Slippery plastic tips make it hard to get plants out of pots, tips extend too far beyond fingers and awkward to use.
I bought these thinking that having BOTH hands tipped would be better than the other brand with only the right hand tipped, but the problem is you can't pick up anything, like getting a bedding plant out of the pot, because the claws are in the way and the plastic they are made of is slippery. Also I have XL hands and even for me the claw tips extend out so far, that there is virtually no leverage and it is like only being able to use the strength of the end joint of the finger tips to dig instead of the strength of the hand.I've tried twice to use these and it was just to cumbersome and I put them down.

Honey Badger gloves work great...."Honey Badger don't care." (from you tube video about honey badgers)
These gloves are really nice. They are well made with a combination of different materials that work very well together. The finger and palm parts of the glove are rubberized very similiar to heavy duty rubber gloves. It is a great idea so that your hands stay dry. The "claws" work very well digging easily into my herb garden, good for both cleaning out old plants and roots and planting new plants. They really save time and effort. The other part of the gloves are made of stretchable strong material. My husand tried them onand they stretched to fit his hands, and after ren]moving them, they returned to their orriginal size an shape. I love these so much I purchased 3 other pair as gifts. I got both gloves with the "claws" and am happy that I did, but one glove with claws and one without would work fine as well. I am right handed and used that one for the majority of my planting. GET THESE....YOU WILL LOVE THEM!

No More Worn Through Fingertips
I love these gloves! The pair I initially ordered were unisex XS, and they were too big for my small hands. When I contacted the company, they sent me their new women's gloves in small, which fit much better. After hours of use, my fingernails remain clean and undamaged. I'm really happy with my purchase and with the company's excellent customer service.

Clawing for Change
I really wanted to like these gloves. It's a great idea, but the execution falls short of practicality and usage. The stiff plastic "claws" bent halfway backwards when trying to grub in the dirt. It felt like the claws were completely separate from my fingers and had a life of their own. Maybe my fingers are too short, though. Had the plastic parts gone further down the finger, it might have been easier to use the gloves for digging and scratching in the soil.

Great idea! love them.
I'm a gadget guy and appreciate something that is unique and really works. Can't believe no one thought of this before. I love getting my hands in the dirt and end up with scratches and dirt under my nails. I've used the gloves to plow a long line for seeds and also dig out the small clippings from my knockout roses that get caught in our dogs fur and end up in the house. They were thick enough to prevent the small thorns on the rose stems from coming through but were plenty flexible enough to feel nimble. When putting them, on I found it best to push each claw firmly onto each finger.

Hard to handle long handled tools
They're great for digging but I couldn't keep a solid grip on any long handle tools, shovel or rake. I ended up taking off the 'claws' while using these tools. Switching gloves back and forth was a nuisance and I found them a little too large for my hands. On the plus side, my grandson had a great time helping me in the garden while playing monster and digging with the gloves on roaring!
