This harness is well made and works well to lift my elderly dog when she needs assistance. I used the harness to help her over boulders on the more difficult parts of a trail up a moderate mountain. Without the harness we would have had to turn back. With it, my dog actually began smiling and gained confidence. She was very happy to be able to continue. My friends even noticed and commented on how happy she seemed. I should also add that not only is this a high quality harness, but the customer service is superb. After receiving my order the company sent a follow-up email that, among other things, stated that they would like feedback. I sent them an email explaining my problem with my dog qualifying for two different sizes because of her weight (L) and her chest girth (XL). I had chosen XL and, while it still was workable, it was clearly too large. They generously sent me a second harness in L size at no extra cost and also plan to add stomach girth to the sizing choices. The large fits perfectly and I have one happy dog! Great company and great product. Highly recommended!

My 12 year old Golden Retriever Emma was having some trouble with her back legs, going up stairs and walking on uncarpeted floors. I ordered this harness to see if it could help and it's WONDERFUL. I'm a petite woman and my dog is 80lbs so I can't lift her myself. This harness gives me the leverage I need to assist her when walking. I was feeling a little helpless when home alone with her and not being able to help her, but this has changed all that. The harness is easy to use, totally self explanatory, and seems to be very strong. We've been using it for about 2 weeks. But not only am I happy with the product, but the customer service I have received from AMZpets. I was emailed after ordering, once shipped to make sure the harness had arrived, and after arrival to make sure I was happy and didn't need anything. They also attached a copy of the instructions just in case, and just to be nice, a document with 10 great tips for dog owners they felt might be useful. Who says customer service is dead?! I highly recommend this lifting harness and AMZpets.

This support sling is a well made product. Why only four stars, 1. the velcro. I have had this for a week and of course velcro loves fur, I use a very soft baby brush to keep the fur out of the velcro. Yes I was aware of the velcro and knew I would have some issues, the one I use it on is a very fuzzy dog. Cockerspaniel /chow. 2. The sizing chart is a bit wonky, my dog is 40 pounds yet she small short and stocky, the large would have been to big and the medium is almost to small. That should be something to keep in mind when sizing for your dog.With all of that said, this is a back saver! My dog is 16 almost 17 in good health other than getting up and down, some days are better than others for her. On the bad days I would go to bed with a aching back, this sling has changed that.It is easy to use and once Willow gets on her feet I take it off her because she doesn't need the help to walk. She is always laying down when I put it on her, makes it easy for us both. After getting it on her I put her back legs in a position so getting up is easier for her, I then slowly began to lift, watching her front legs as I lift the back up, this gives her the ability to gain stability.I am very happy with the product and how it works.

Our Rottweiler had TPLO surgery to repair a torn cruciate ligament. She will need to be assisted with a lift sling for the next two to four weeks. There were a number of harnesses to choose from on Amazon but I liked that AMZpets offered an extra large harness with a connecting strap to the collar, making handling of the dog much easier. The Dog Lift Harness arrived on time and was exactly what I needed. It fits our rottie perfectly and makes handling her far easier than the towel we started with yesterday. The lift harness is of quality construction and meets my highest expectation. I'm glad I made the purchase.

This sling is not well designed. Unless your dog is shaped like a perfect cylinder, that is, like a sausage with an abdomen (waist) as wide as its chest, the problem is the soft material bunches up under the skinniest part of the dog, it does not stay stretched wide or stationary like in the photo, which is deceptive. This means instead a wide stretch of material comfortably cradling your dog, it bunches into a thin band which I can only imagine is painful for my girl, especially when she squats to pee and puts all her weight on it, where it keeps her up by bunching up and putting pressure on her ribs. It is equivalent to holding her up with a thick rope instead of something comfortable. A better design requires material that is not too hard to create harsh edges or surfaces, but is firm enough that it cannot bunch up and keeps its form, which this sling does not do whatsoever. Maybe we will design one, because this just isn't doing the trick for our poor girl (she is a 50 pound Carolina dog who is not overweight). If your dog is only about 5-10 pounds this may work ok, but bigger than that is not worth any money. And if your dog is male I don't know how he is supposed to pee with this on (see other reviews about this).
