Excellent Heavy Duty Product with superior quality and a reasonable price.
This is obviously a very high quality, durable and 'sturdy' product. I've owned several of these 'type' of units; i.e.; 'portable GFCIs' and I'm very impressed with the unit's heavy-duty design and quality of construction. I also like the heavy molding plug/receptacles being 'open' because, I personally, never liked the box-type units with hinged lids.The engineering looks like they spared no expense; quality heavy connection cables, with STRAIN reliefs on the Unit and receptacle connections that aren't too visible in the photos. Simple and reliable operation and water resistant.I purchased Two of them, mainly for use with outside cords and my Honda EU-2000i Generator. After lots of looking, I'd purchase this item again if I need another one.

I replaced the GFI the the garage to make sure my refrigerator stated on. So now I plug my hand tools into it.

Do not buy if you plan to connect to a timer
This was bought to use outdoors for Xmas lights, etc. Unfortunately it is not functional for this purpose because once the timer cycles off you have to manually reset the unit every single night after the timer reverts back to the ON mode. This aspect should have been included in the product info. If the GFCI receptacles in the house required a manual reset every time the power went out it would be a nightmare.

EXCELLENT QUALITY
I needed a short GFCI to provide protection in a specific location. beyond the protection, length was the primary requirement. The size was perfect for my needs and the quality of this "extension" cord is excellent. the level of protection met was better than the alternative. Additionally, I like the possibility of portability. I will place one in my tool box for times when the GFCI is not available in a location.
