Manufacturer issue
1 star for machine. Unfortunately the machine made a funny noise inside the pre-built middle console. I attempted to get assistance from the manufacturer and they stopped responding. It was relatively easy to put together and appeared very sturdy.3 stars for the seller as I was able to send it back but for my own cost of shipping which was 1/4 of the cost of the machine.

Definitely recommend (but maybe not for beginners)!
Overall, this machine provides an excellent, hardcore, cardio workout and is an incredible buy for your money! Here are the positives: It is quiet and feels very sturdy, as there is no detectable rocking motion when using it. It is adjustable for different heights, which is an important feature when you're only 5 feet and your spouse is a foot taller! Although the climbing motion may look relatively easy, this is deceptive, as you will begin to feel challenged after only a few minutes (probably even less time than that!) even if you're only moving at a moderate pace. Even for someone who works out diligently and who considers themselves to be in decent shape, this workout is intense! There really is no 'easy' mode and having your arms move continuously up and down above your head for any length of time is difficult! I have found that using a timer app for a HIIT-type workout makes the experience a bit more manageable/enjoyable. Regardless, by the end of it all, I am exhausted and drenched. The only complaints I have with this climber are rather minor. Since the handrails slant downwards, you really have to hold onto the very top, horizonal part, if your intent is to comfortably support your weight at all whenever you're not holding onto the vertical handlebars. Further, the pedals are rather small, so you may need to reposition your feet slightly throughout the workout to accommodate for this. Lastly, the console does tend to become hot. This has not been problematic so far, but I'm hoping it doesn't become an issue down the road.Anyway, I want to reiterate and emphasize that this machine will likely challenge even the fittest among us. There is no need to spend thousands on a commercial, gym-quality climber. This one is plenty adequate and more than capable of giving you an intense, full body workout. It is a great addition to my home gym, and I would buy it again without hesitation.

Finally, a robust but affordable MID-TIER Vertical Climber
If you've been shopping around for vertical climbers chances are you've been shocked at the disparity in price points between the main brands: Maxiclimber(which i also own) and Versaclimber. At $200 on Amazon, the Maxiclimber doesn't exactly look quality, and the super low pricepoint (when compared to the 10-20x more expensive Versaclimbers) leaves you wondering what corners were cut. On the other hand, you can't or won't spend thousands of dollars on a vertical climber that seems overbuilt for your residential applications. This is where Stamina steps in with their own Vertical Climber that exudes quality and attention to detail right out of the box. The weight at 89 pounds is substantially heavier then the maxi climber original, and almost 40 pounds more then the maxiclimber XL (which is only 54 pounds). More weight is good; it tells you that the machine is built with beefy components and reduces shaking when exercising. The Stamina Cardio Climber is even heavier then the residential Versaclimber H(65 pounds)! The incredibly durable and over-engineered "commercial" Versaclimbers are 140 pound machines, so the Stamina Climber comes in nicely with a mid tier weight. This weight is achieved by a robust steel frame that comes with a great 5 year warranty. The handlebars and their tubing are thicker and heavier then the ones that come with the maxiclimber XL. The rollers inside seem quality and the base is sturdy and hardly moves during activity. Speaking of movement, the climbing motion is much smoother then the Maxiclimber and much quieter. The magnetic resistance is a huge feature, as there is virtually no maintenance needed on this type of resistance making it the most durable compared to the hydraulic resistance used in the maxiclimber XL. With a just a simple turn of the dial you have 8 settings to burn your muscles with. The resistance from magnetic is very smooth, it's hard to explain. When you push down with your legs going from resistance 1 to resistance 8, it initially feels as though nothing changed but as you progressively push it seems as if something is slowing your effort down causing you to need to push progressively harder to keep a fast tempo until the end range of motion. Now, it's not a HUGE amount of resistance, but it's enough to get a decent strength building workout in, or just max you out that much quicker. The machine comes with a handy LCD monitor on the frame that tracks your speed in MPH, your feet climbed, your calories and most important your elapsed time on the machine. There are nice rollers on the base that allow you to wheel it around quite easily and not bear the burden of the 90 pounds. Stamina was nice enough to include a phone holder you can strap on to the machine. One thing to note is the Stamina Climber does not fold up, but then again i feel as if the structural integrity of the unit would be lessened if it could fold up so I'm not complaining. The Stamina Climber assembles quite easily. The instructions are simple with included diagrams and took me around 1 hour going slow. 1 hour does not mean it’s difficult, it just takes some time to tighten screws and such, but a very straightforward process. If i had one gripe it would be that the pedals you stand on are not the biggest. They could stand to be longer and wider for more comfort. But that's about my only gripe with the machine, it seems built to last and has a smooth motion to it as well as looking quite attractive (the maxiclimbers look cheap, even the XL!)So there you have it, if you're on the fence about whether to go cheap or go for broke then you no longer have to choose between the extremes as the Stamina Climber is the best option for a mid tier vertical climber, exuding more quality then the maxiclimber XL, and seemingly built tougher as well.[An interesting experiment that i was able to do was to fit some Maxiclimber Cross Crawl XL handlebars on to the machine. The motion that the Stamina Climber has is called standard climb or ipsilateral movement. Most of the versaclimbers tout their cross crawl or contralateral movement pattern as the best, and the natural movement pattern. The maxiclimber handlebars can be fit with no modification, you just can't adjust the height when you put them on. The standard crawl movement seems to tax me more then the cross crawl however. ]

Good, mid-priced climber stepper that will really work you, with one significant flaw
I liked almost everything about this product but it has one significant flaw. Without that flaw I would have given it five stars. There are very few climber/steppers in this price range. The low end ones are just garbage and the higher end ones are out of many people's price range. I have always loved the climbing/stepping motion as an exercise and it really burns calories and builds stamina. The flaw I speak of is the size of the pedals. Why make them so small? I am a just slightly larger than average size male and wear a size 11 shoe. My feet are literally 3 times larger than the pedals. It certainly doesn't prevent me from getting good use of the device but it becomes uncomfortable on my feet after about a half hour and I have to stop and give them a bit of rest before proceeding. Simply making the pedals larger would be a significant improvement. I am bewildered because surely they have some men try out prototypes of the product to get design feedback. Otherwise the device is really solid. Well made, pretty easy to set-up, fairly smooth operation. Instructions say it will hold a 300 lb. human which is better than most of the under $1,000 products. The digital functions are decent, although the display is fairly small. The length of stride is adjustable, the handlebar position is adjustable and there is a load/resistance adjustment with 8 settings. There is quite a sizable range of load adjustment. The easiest settings are pretty easy and the harder settings are pretty hard. So I don't think this is a piece of equipment you will quickly "master" such that it no longer requires you to work hard. So overall this is a pretty good piece of equipment at a decent price that could be a really good product with larger pedals. I think the calorie burn estimate is also likely inflated. I can pretty easily get to 1,000 calories burned in about a half hour. I seriously doubt that is the case.

Great Value
I was using a versa climber at the gym for my warmup. It absolutely kicked my butt. Best workout per minute, and I have a rowing machine, elliptical, and stationary bike. So when I wanted a climber for home, I wanted a versa climber. Until I saw the cost.So I researched and the Stamina had pretty good reviews. So I ordered one. Amazon said it would be delivered in 3 days and it took about 7 days. I think that’s because UPS kept it longer so they could absolutely destroy the box. See the image below. I didn’t even know if all the parts were in the box. I immediately set up a return to Amazon. I was contacted by Accompany Life, the seller, to ask if they could help. I sent a picture and they agreed that the box should have never been left at my house. My reordered unit arrived the next day, in great condition…by FedEx, although it could just be luck they didn’t destroy the boxIt took me about an hour to assemble. I’m an engineer, and the quality was apparent as I was putting it together. The fits we’re all very good, and assembly was easy if you follow the instructions.I have only had it for a day, but my first experience was just like the versa climber. Kicked my butt and worked great.I saw some people had problems after some use and weren’t happy with the customer service. I hope that I get the same great level of service after I have had it for a while that I got while purchasing. For me it is:Quality - 5 starsCustomer service - 5 starsValue - 6 stars (I wanted a versa climber but this has excellent quality for the price)
