Works as advertised. The product in question is solid and works. What I would have liked is to have the ability to take the left over strip and use an additional connector and power it elsewhere, but I realize that it isn't possible given that there is only one controller chip on the string, any additional chips would raise the cost.I am hoping that in the Kasa app to configure the light strip, I would get to not just have to use the color wheel to select the color, but with the Kasa bulbs, be able to choose presets like warm white for the strip.

I have a cutout between my kitchen and living room. I got these to put over my sink in that cutout to use as lighting over the sink and as a much dimmer light at night. It works phenomenally well.

This light strip was purchased to replaced my Govee LED strip installed as a TV halo on my 65" LG. Since an update earlier this year, the Govee app has made connecting the strip to Wi-Fi impossible. Not to mention, the Govee app is just horrible in general. It was time to let it go, so I bought this Kasa Smart LED strip.I already had a Kasa Smart light bulb which works perfectly and whose accompanying app is simple, clean and, best of all, works. It was no-brainer to go with Kasa this time for the LED strip.Good: It's bright.Has more color options than the Govee.Seems very well made.The app is pleasant to use.Not-so-good: The PU coating on the strip makes it VERY difficult to bend in a 90 degree turn, such as when lighting the rear perimeter of a TV. It is too thick to bend into a right angle at corners without protruding far out from the surface.And, because it doesn't bend well, the not-very-good adhesive keeps lifting away as the strip gets near the corner. Every time I walk by the TV, I reach back and press the strip down hoping one day it will just stay put all the way.Also not very good is when the light strip is dimmed. I usually keep it in a soft white color (about 4000 kelvin color temperature) and at 100% brightness. When I dim it to about 15% for, say, movies, or whatever, it goes from 4000k to 1000k, which is really orange-looking. The crappy aforementioned Govee did not do this. It handled maintaining color temperature well when it was dimmed. I was bit surprised this seemingly higher quality LED strip did this.Other than those things, it is a well-made strip with a good app, so I will keep it until I find a better LED strip at around the $20-$40 price range.

Great product, still use today

I purchased these in November, installed them in December and here we are 1st week of March and they are malfunctioning. So they lasted 3, almost 4 months. Very expensive and time consuming to install for them to not even last 6 months. I love Kasa products but can’t recommend these. As you can see from the picture just a few of the lights light up and they are stuck on red and green. The rest of the strip no longer works. I’ve reset them and it didn’t help. The controls on the app no longer do anything. Do not buy these. Choose a different brand

One of the 2 rolls I ordered was sent used. Heavily. It smelled and was absolutely covered in hair. The adhesive strip had been used and damaged and left a residue on the LED strip clear top. Poorly repackaged by previous owner and clearly never checked the quality of the returned product.Other strip arrived new and works like a charm. SUPER bright at 100%, wonderful colors and customizable options. Would be 5* if it weren't for the disgusting used product I was sent despite ordering NEW.Check your order immediately upon arrival.
