These lights are nice and bright and conveniently charge via USB
These lights are nice and bright and conveniently charge via USB. However, I have not had a good experience with them. 1) Shortly after buying them, one of the screws just popped out of the front light. I replaced it, but it was a pain in the butt to order more screws from the company. 2) I have also had trouble with the batteries popping out, especially since it has gotten cold. The way the lights "lock", it can often feel and look like the light is securely closed when it is not in fact closed. That means it looks sealed and the closure won't move if you jiggle it. However, I have a bumpy commute across some bad roads in Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Bridge, etc., and twice now I have lost a battery when a light has popped open and the battery slides out into traffic or off the bridge. I've now spent an extra $30 on replacement batteries, and it just feels like a waste. The first one I thought it was just my fault and may have been. But the second time, I rode back and forth from work 3x -- a total of 45 miles -- with no incident before the front light popped out. I had taken extra care to make sure it was secure. 3) You can't tell when the battery is low, so the light will suddenly stop working ... if your battery is still in there, that is.

Awesome lights. Some regrets
Edited from earlier to knock down some pointsPros:Super bright. Annoys fellow driversI love how easy it is to charge the little batteries that you take out.Only have to charge it once a month or soThey have not been stolen yet. I live in Oakland where you have a roughly 80% chance of an unsecured light being stolen after an hour so that actually says a lot.Cons:One of the batteries physically broke after a year and I'm now having to find a new one. The design on the circuit board on them is a bit fragileAs others have noted, going over a pothole could turn the light on or off. They are a bit "touchy"

It works but not great
The lights look great on the bike however they're not flawless:- If installed too close to the seat or the bar, it's very hard to open the battery over.- The battery doesn't last for long and requires recharging often.- And the worse issue I had - going over bumps will turn the light off! At first I thought the battery ran out, or that I forgot to turn it on but after a while I realize it would just turn off. I tested it by lifting the rear wheel and dropping it from a few inches and the light went off. It's impossible to avoid road bumps in LA so this is a big issue for me.

A truly great pair of bike lights
A truly great pair of bike lights. They are very easy to use and sturdy, albeit they 'feel' made of plastic instead of aluminum, though that may just be the coating. Charging is simple, with a red and green light to indicate charging/charged. One thing I would recommend however, is having a lip on the top of the light to prevent blinding yourself if it is angled upwards. I tend to use my light as more of an indicator that I am there than as a way of lighting dark trails/ streets, and having it pointed upwards keeps the trail dark and my night vision sharp. I have remedied it with a simple application of Sugru, which fits the job perfectly. Overall though, I highly recommend these

I highly recommend. After going the cheap route and purchasing lights that you can "conveniently" remove from your bike, on the second day after the purchase, someone "conveniently" removed the lights from my bike. Moral of the story, unless you want to deal with the hassle of removing your lights, spend the extra $ on these lights. Also if you have any issues with the lights, the fortified customer service team is very helpful.

works
These have gotten stolen - but only when the bike gets stolen. Very happy with these lights. We chose the lower lumen lights in order to have longer battery life.

Three Stars
Solid lights, but they are a little bulky.

Battery Issues
Good lights. Batteries need to be charged more than I thought they would. I swear I've put them on the power saving mode. It doesn't seem to make a difference.
