Good value and fit for tall cyclists.
This review is for a Spotti Men's Long Sleeve Cycling Jersey. It was sold by Spotti Wear for $20.95 but was fulfilled by Amazon.com and shipped for free via Amazon Prime. My purchase was made on 14-Feb-2017 and the jersey was arrived on 17-Feb-2017. Since my original review, the "sale" price has gone up to $21.95 and Spotti is now listing a suggested retail price of $39.[-- Note: I updated this review on 25-Feb-2017 after riding with the jersey. It didn't fit quite as well as I first thought and I removed one star. It's still a good jersey for the price---but it's not a five-star jersey for its price.--]--- Fit ---I'm 6' 2" tall with a cyclist build. My shirt size is a Large-Tall. My chest is 41", my waist is 35". My torso is a little long for my height---but not much (my leg inseam measurement is 33.75"). I wanted a snug fit for minimal wind resistance so I purchased a size LARGE. The fit of the arms and body are good for a relaxed upright riding position. The arms of the jersey measure 27.75" along the outside of the arm from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. However, I usually ride in a forward-leaning aero position with my forearms resting on my aerobars. In this position, the arms are 1 to 1.5" short and it would be nice if they were a little longer. The jersey feels a bit snug when you first pull it on over your head, but once it's on, it feels only moderately snug. It could stand to be a tad bit tighter in the upper chest but it's not bad. Overall, I'm happy with the fit except when I'm leaning forward on my aerobars. The three rear pockets are easy to reach---they are not too high for a tall person. One serious problem with the fit was the neck. The inside circumference of the collar measured 18" which, in my opinion, is too big for a size Large. I would have preferred a neck size of 17". I would have also liked a taller collar so the jersey would provide better sun protection. The height of the collar measured 1.5" which isn't bad except that, because it is too large at 18", it slides farther down on the shoulders. I would have preferred a collar height of 2.5 to 3 inches.--- Construction ---The 100% polyester fabric is soft and the seams are soft, too. However, the breathability of the fabric seems only moderate. But I could hardly expect a premium wicking fabric for this price. The back of the jersey is 3 inches longer than the front. This was a big question for me because the product photos in the Amazon webpage make it look like the jersey is cut with a square bottom. It is not. It has the traditional angle of most cycling jerseys. I was very happy about this. The elastic at the bottom of the jersey is snug but there are no silicone anti-slip features so this jersey will slide up on some riders. This turned out to be a significant problem and the reason why I docked it one star. When leaning forward in an aero tuck, the back of the jersey continually slipped up to the top waistband of my Pearl iZumi Elite shorts. The same thing happened with my Pearl iZumi Pro shorts. It was aggravating because the body of the jersey is long and having it slip up like it does, causes it to bunch around my waist and lower back. If you've got a pro cyclist build with low body fat like me, this jersey will NOT stay down when you lean forward. I was going to buy three more of these jerseys but cancelled my plans because of this problem. The three pockets are a modest size. They aren't small---but some of my pro jerseys have bigger pockets. There is no sweat barrier in the pockets so you'll definitely need to use ziplock bags to keep things dry on a hot sweaty day.--- Comments ---I'm an endurance road cyclist who rides 5-6,000 miles per year. During fair weather, my daily training rides are 35 miles. I'm quite serious about my cycling. I ride a carbon composite racing frame with a SRAM Red drivetrain. I use a Stages power meter. Most of my cycling kit is from Pearl iZumi. I use their Elite shorts and jerseys for daily training and their Pro shorts and jerseys for events. So why did I buy this $21 jersey? Answer: Hardly anyone, including Pearl iZumi, is making jerseys for tall riders. I typically have to purchase an Extra-Large jersey to get adequate length in the body and, if long sleeves, arms. But the Extra-Large size is a little too wide, making for a loose fit and lots of flapping in the wind. And the graphic designers being used by Pearl iZumi nowadays are insane. Their kit used to look good. But their new jerseys are unbelievably ugly with gross colors. So Spotti offered two important things: A better fit for tall cyclists and simple basic colors that are easy on the eyes.Considering what you get for $21 (now $22), this jersey is a good value and I recommend it for tall cyclists on a budget. However, super-fit cyclists with a pro cyclist physique and low body fat will probably be aggravated by the jersey's lack of any anti-slip strip at the bottom hem of the body. If you have an athletic build and wear good-quality cycling shorts, you can expect the bottom of the jersey to slide up to your waist whenever you lean forward and hold your handlebar by the drops or lean your forearms on aerobars. Most of the jerseys in my closet cost well north of $100 and it wouldn't be fair to compare this jersey to them. The tech in the fabrics and construction of Pearl iZumi's Pro line is amazing. Yet this simple jersey out-performs in two important ways: tall cyclist fit and avoidance of ugly color combinations. Well done Spotti! My advice to Spotti: (1) Please add a good silicone anti-slip strip to the inside bottom hem of the body. (2) Please reduce the diameter of the neck to 17" for the size Large and make the collar a little taller. (3) Please add another 1" to 1.5 " to the sleeve length. (4) Please replace the name "Spotti" on the jersey with a small, attractive logo (the name seems weird). Make these changes and you'll have an unbeatable value for tall, trim cyclists.

Incredible visibility thus SAFETY.
There's about 3" of new snow this a.m. but my husband is out riding his bike on country roads. In this rural area, with logging trucks and windy roads, visibility for him is the #1 reason I bought this pull-over. It fits over his warming under-wear, it's long enough and stretchy enough. There's a pocket on the backside that most would find useful. This was just what was needed.

Fit is very snug, EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE.
REVISED REVIEW — Added stars for Customer Service.Buying clothing online is always taking a chance. In the case of the Spotti Jersey, I was going to send it back. I'm 5-9 and 135 lbs — pretty skinny. The Small size, while not a skin suit, is too form-fitting for my taste. Take a look at the sale photo. That's the fit — you can see that it's quite snug. That's how it fit me. If you like that kind of fit, you'll like this jersey.BEFORE I COULD SEND IT BACK, I got a massage from Spotti customer service, telling me that they were sorry and they'd be glad to refund my money or send a replacement in a larger size—and I could keep the jersey I'd ordered. What a pleasant surprise. CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to order from Spotti.Construction is quite good. But I prefer the fit (size small) and of the Tenn Mens Coolflo S/S Cycling Jersey. That's just a personal fit preference. It has a silicone band at the bottom for less "ride up," and a zipper pocket.

You cannot go wrong with Spotti
All is well, but as a rather large fellow (6', 235 lbs.), even a 3XL was a little too revealing in the belly area, but good old spandex compression in bibs and base layers mitigated that. I like the material and colors, but rather wish the hem elastic was a little more relaxed. The name "Spotti" is authentic, no doubt, but in the U.S. implies either 'macchiato" or less-than-ideal performance. The price/quality ratio is VERY appealing as cycling wear tends to be incredibly overpriced.

Good fit, great value, nice long sleeve jersey
9/9/2017 - Got another in size L and it fits well. A little more snug, closer to typical "roadie" fit, not a bad thing, very comfortable actually.. Sleeve length is still really good. Probably could fit a thin base layer under the L but it will be more comfortable under the XL.6'3", 185lbs. Got the XL size. Comfortable fit, not road racer tight, but not flopping in the wind loose. Good alone or would work comfortably with an under-layer for winter use. Arm length is great, I have long arms and have problems with some long sleeve jerseys that the arm length is short and pulls up to expose my wrist when on a bike. These are long enough to reach my top thumb joint and give full coverage when on my bike. I think maybe I could go with a Large if I wanted a tighter fit, and arms would still be OK. I like the fabric weight, it is a little heavier than some other jerseys I have, but not really a winter weather shirt by itself. Should be perfect for cool spring & fall days though. Good for sun coverage, but might be a little warm on real hot 80F-90F days. It looks to be a good "wicking" type fabric so it might be cooler in the heat than I think. I got one in white color to try out. Honestly, for any price, this is one of the nicest jerseys I have purchased, a great value. For the price I paid, it's a steal. I might get a couple more...and trash the long sleeve jerseys I have that don't fit right.
