RADKE SERVICES Weber 40-44-48 Idf Complete Carburetor Rebuild Kit

On the face of it this rebuild kit looks like a pretty good buy, as it includes 2 replacement mixture screws. Unfortunately, some of the included parts are not good quality: 1) The mixture screw springs should compress relatively easily, but one of the 2 springs is hard as a rock - won't compress at all; 2) the mixture screw O-ring cap is flat, not concave like the Weber original, so it doesn't hold the O-ring in place; 3) the O-rings are made of a much softer rubber than the (silicon?) originals. The bag the parts come is has a label saying one the seal is broken no returns. How can you tell if a part is missing or defective until you open the package? I'd suggest getting a Redline kit (not currently available on Amazon) and buying the mixture screws separately - it will cost slightly more, but I you'll get better parts.
