Although the oil pump, worm gear and filters worked be aware that the rubber oil lines provided do not fit Stihl MS290. I took for granted these parts fit before I took the saw completely apart and found the lines would not work. Luckily the lines were not my problem and the oil pump and worm gear which did fit were the culprit of my problem. If I had to do it again I would search for a kit that had the correct lines and also included the nylon connector that inserts into the oil filter and attaches to the line up to the saw chain. I had to reuse my old one and it would have been nice to replace that as well.

Be sure to check your casting carefully on the shuihuo Oil Pump Oiler + Worm Gear Spring For STIHL 029 039 MS290 MS310 MS390 Chainsaw. The oil pump had a hole as a result of a bad casting on the bar oil input nipple (see attached pics). This should have been caught at the factory. I returned for a refund. The other parts in the kit looked OK.

Save a penny... You get what u pay 4. Cheap cheap and u get cheap cheap.

had the oil sump line in for a week and it split and needed to be replaced. Other parts are still working.

Beware this kit is not a drop in replacement for a Stihl MS 310. (At least not my 310). The worm gear spring is not the same size. The oil pump chewed up a worm gear and took the threads off the gear. The port on the oil filter is way too large.
