Belgioioso American Grana Cheese Wedge 1/4 wheel ( Appox 7-8 lb )

first, i took a chance on it being the 18 month aged cheese, as all the other Bel-gioioso vendors were displaying 10 month aged cheese. Excellent taste, and i just weighed it as well. 1/4 of a 24 lbs wheel is 6 lbs by my calculator, but they indicate weight will be 7-8 lbs, and weight was 7.5 lbsTaste?? this is the perfect parmesan cheese - this is the very cheese Carrabba's resturants use. Sharp enough to give you some taste, but not as sharp as some Pecorino Romano cheeses.I'm tempted to buy another 1/4 wheel just to have while it's still availableFWIW

We have been enjoying sampling American-made cheeses. American Grana is parmesan-like hard, crumbly, aged cheese with a classic Parmesan cheese flavor. "Grana" is a generic term that applies to the classic parmesan-like cheeses made in Italy, and while it is a protected name in the EU, its not protected in the U.S. "American Grana" is unmistakably made in the U.S., in Wisconsin by Belgioioso. 8 pounds is a lot of cheese but its so good I think it will be consumed faster than we think! Very satisfied with this cheese!

This cheese keeps well and tastes delicious....not too sharp but flavorful. I would purchase it again.

Has an "American cheese" melt and flavor. good for a burger.
