A Journey for the Soul
I remember reading "Born Free" about Elsa the lioness, and I recall a sequel called "Living Free." I had forgotten how much I enjoyed those books and movies until I read "Back to the Bundu." I think we all have a special place in our hearts for the big cats and elephants. But as I read this book, I began to appreciate the less celebrated animals like birds and hyenas--especially the sneaky spotted hyenas. And the crocs who escaped/were released from the croc farm upstream as a result of storms and flooding. My greatest revelation was reading about living one's dream and leaving the stuffy office behind to go to a place where time is relative and priorities are based on doing what's right -- in this case for the conservation of the Tuli Wilderness. It made me start to think about what my own special journey might be.Enough said--I thoroughly enjoyed this book and wish there were updates on the status of "Sebatana" and her three male cubs, she being the "Elsa" of this book.

Back to the Bundu
I loved this book. What a great adventure he had in Botswana. He has a gift for telling his story, would like to hear more of anything he writes.
