Snowy vistas and Valentine delights
I thoroughly enjoyed this charming, heartwarming, sweet romance by debut author, Emma Lynden. A big Shakespeare fan myself, I loved that the main character is named Verona. I also loved that she's a romance author. Following a broken heart, she books herself a solo stay in a castle in the snowy mountains. She's hoping to get her mojo back and write a great book, but she's extremely disappointed to discover she's smack in the middle of a huge retreat for singles looking for love. Troy Turner is the king of happy ever after and the relationship coach leading the festivities. Naturally, he's also fairly irresistible, although Verona does her best to resist. While this is a fairy tale sweet romance, full of red and pink hearts, frosting, sprinkles, carriage rides, and pristine snowy mountain views, it's also a story of family and healing from loss. In sort, it's got all the feel good sparkle of a good romance, but it also has depth.I'll be looking forward to Emma Lynden's next book!

A scrumptiously layered romance
Emma Lynden’s The Holiday Plan satiates the reader’s palate with the right amount of sweetness. Much to my heart’s content, the narrative journey doesn’t shy away from modern-day realities, life’s growing pains. Lynden adeptly escalates surprises as she explores second chances, familial dynamics, loss & grief, and love in all forms. As well, the descriptive language (beautifully rendered settings) is scrumptious, highly visual. A lovely debut novel. Brava to Ms. Lynden.

Simple. Cute. Loved!
Okay wow this was adorable! This really is one of those feel good romance books. It makes you want to fall in love, if you haven't already. This book is about finding your turn self and what you want in life. It's about mending broken roads and piecing things back together. It's about love between parents and their kids.If you want a love story that is simple in the sense of not a lot of drama, this is the one for you! It was a super easy read, got through it in a 24 hour period.I want to say so much more, but the book just speaks for it's self. I think if you are new to romance, or trying to find what you like in the romance genre (like me lol), than this is a GREAT stepping stone. There are some cheesy moments, but nothing explicit! Definitely a romance book people under 18 can read!

Uplifting, exciting and emotional!
There’s always something extra special about your first book of the year, and The Holiday Plan was the perfect book to get me excited for a whole new year of reading in 2022! It’s one of the sweetest, most uplifting romances I’ve read and is filled to the brim with excitement and emotion at every turn.I loved every moment of this book and I know everyone else who gives it a chance will feel the exact same way! It gave me feelings of warmth and of hope, the author’s words and the story she’s created lingering in my mind days after reading that last page. It’s magical, and Verona and Troy have very quickly made my list of all time favourite fictional couples. There’s so much heart and a very clear passion for storytelling, and it’s the perfect book if you’re looking for something light and truly romantic for your next read. I’m very excited to see where this author goes next. She’s going to be BIG, I can feel it!

Ironic story of a romance writer
Verona was a best selling romance writer. She had a bad breakup and has since lost her mojo. All she wants is a quiet week at a resort hotel in her childhood favourite small town in Upstate New York. Imagine her shock when she finds upon arrival that the nation's premiere matchmaker has book his annual week long event at the same hotel.
