I use this tape for masking areas on my paintings. I usually look for thin, flexible tape that will stick pretty well, but without damaging the surface of acrylic painrs. Other tapes that do this are pretty expensive, so I figured I'd give this a try.- It applies well in straight or in very slightly curved lines, but anything more and it is harder to get to conform to a curve.- It removes pretty cleanly, even after sitting for a white and painted over heavily- I have noticed that there is *some* residue left behind in a couple of areas. It was easily removed though without damaging the paint underneath- When trying to make more extreme curves, the tape doesn't stay in position, probably because of the low tack adhesive.- I cover the edges of the tape with matte medium to seal it from having paint creep underneath. The matte medium doesn't affect it.For the cost it works pretty well.

I am using for masking on wood projects that have curved features of different colors. That part was great. I must say that the packaging from amazon was not good enough. The tape was just in 1 of the plastic thin bubble wrap envelopes. Somewhere the tape had gotten squashed completely out of shape. The roll was no longer a roll but almost like a pretzel. Still useable but...

Ragged along the edges where you just cannot get a straight line. The lines are so crooked it appears the tape has actually let the paint bleed. In fact, it also bleeds paint. Not good for much. Looks like it was cut from a roll of 3/4" tape with hack saws.Don't waste your hard earned money on this product.

Altho fearful of the negative reviews, I was so hopeful after reading the positive reviews. I used this on the glass of a shadow box to decorate the four edges with latex paint. I rolled the paint on very lightly hoping to actually apply two coats. That wasn't possible with the seepage. The tape adhered well until paint was applied, then began to lift allowing paint underneath, requiring scraping all four sides. Rather than a fine line, the entire project looks like it was painted freehand.

Great tape! I am an art teacher and we used the tape to create a modern painting. The tape adhered perfectly, the paint did not sip through. My students (senior citizens) had a little trouble removing the tape, because they burnished it to much. But that was an easy problem to solve. We were all ver happy. I highly recommend this tape!

Impossible to get sharp lines. In the picture, I wasn’t even doing a shape, just a straight line and it’s still messy looking. The tape itself is jagged and it’s very thin.

Do not waste your money on this crap! I have taped plenty of lines for painting in my day, and this stuff is the worst. It breaks off when you try to adjust a line. Then the end folds over and creates a ball that you can't straighten out so you have to cut it and add. When you try doing that, the entire row comes loose and falls off the wall. The adhesive is worthless! I felt compelled to stop in the middle of my project and write this review in hopes of preventing someone else buying it and being frustrated. Find another option.

This tape is an important tool for auto pinstriping. Serves two purposes, good practice laying down a pin stripe and keeps you on track when laying down the stripe.
