Excellent Paleo Beginners Book
I have read so many books on Paleo over the years and bought this one because of the reviews. When I started reading I was disappointed as I didn't think I would learn anything after reading books much heavier than this. However I was totally wrong. I have learnt plenty. The book is written in a lighthearted manner but make no mistake, I think if I was a vegetarian I would certainly start worrying. This book would be perfect for someone just starting to dip a toe into the reasoning behind Paleo. I veered from Paleo to Vegetarian to junk several times purely because I had been indoctrinated into the cholesterol rubbish, and meat causing cancer myth and was scared I would do myself harm. I have only been eating Paleo for one month but already feel so much better. Mind you to be fair I had gone from a total junk food diet. However there are no cravings eating this way, whereas on any other diet I have ever been on I have had dreadful cravings and always ended up in chocolate, doughnuts, cake etc. I have a good feeling that this way of eating will be mine for life. Plus as an added bonus the weight is coming off too. Plus I am sleeping so much better now.

Healing through nutrition and exposing food myths.
As a 'fan' I have followed Liz's path of acquiring and sharing nutritious food and health related knowledge for about two years (podcasts, blogs, Facebook) and her advice has helped me improve how I feel a lot, and yet I learned many new things and gained deeper understanding of some topics that I am very familiar with by reading this book. Whether you want to learn more about healthy nutrition or healing through food, think about food addictions or unravel nutrition myth-propaganda by US government, this book is an easy to read companion on your own journey. As I live far away from US pop culture, I did not fully understand many of her quirky and fun references, but this did not detract from the value or understanding the content. The language and tone of this book is wonderfully conversational, as if a good friend would sit on the couch with me and have a lovely chat. I have given it to my best friends to read to hopefully start them on their own journey of health improvement.

The best book on Paleo nutrition out there!
Hands down this has got to be one of the best books about nutrition there is. In my time I have dabbled with raw-foodism, vegetarianism, veganism all in the pursuit of health until a few years ago I was diagnosed with severe gluten intolerance and it changed my focus so I set out to research all I could. You could say I'm somewhat of a nutrition nerd and my bookshelves are literally lined with books on nutrition and diet. I have read a lot of the Paleo books out there and whilst many are very good, this one is simply superb. It is informative, interesting and surprisingly funny. If you want to understand the HOW and WHAT to eat (in terms of recipes and meal plans) this isn't the book, I'd recommend the excellent Practical Paleo by Diane Sanfilippo, but if you truly want to understand the WHY's to eating a Paleo real food diet and understand the prevailing myths that generates so much fear around what to eat then there isn't a better book out there.

A great introduction to good nutrition for the unwilling...
This is a great book. I bought it because I'm a fan of Liz's podcast with Diane Sanfilippo - so I already knew most of the content, but it's great to have a reference and something you can give a friend or family member to explain what some of the issues are with our modern diet, and how going back to basics can be really amazing for us.It's broken up with Liz's great sense of humour and love of pop-culture and movies (I know nothing, so most of the reference passed me by!) - it kind of reads like she's actually talking to you. Which is great and really refreshing for a nutrition book, which are usually rather dry and preachy. Don't let this put you off though - she's quoted plenty of references and done her research to back-up her statements. All in all I highly recommend, whether you eat "paleo" or not.

In depth info cleverly written
Liz really knows this stuff and after reading this so do I. Deep, interesting information which leaves me in know doubt that this way of life and eating is how it should be. Also very well written and fun :-) Thanks

AWESOME BOOK!
Eye-opening, well-written, full of information mixed with a huge dose of humour, LOVED IT! Would recommend to anyone as it fights major myths about food we so got used to believe, 5*******

Superb. Such an eye opener
Simply the most down to earth look at modern nutrition dilemmas. Backed up with fact, the survival of our race depends on us getting this message. And she's got a great sense of humour.

Read this book, if it's the only one you read about health.
This book is life changing. Badly written, but if you can overlook that, the actual information is excellent.
