The recipient are good, though pictures would help a lot. The only issue I have is that the book seems like it is printed as needed. The formatting isn't too good and needs a lot of work to help with readability.

Very few pictures, and the few it does have are small and in black and white. The directions are a little sloppy too, for example, saying to grease the pan should be before placing the meat on the pan, but it isn’t. The book looks like a rough draft, not a final product. Good new recipes though

I returned this book. It was very disorganized, listing many recipes with the word Polish before the recipe. This made it more difficult to quickly locate the recipe and it was not necessary in a book of Polish recipes. There was no index which would have been helpful and many of the recipes had errors, for instance, "One Vanilla". One teaspoon, one tablespoon, one bottle??? I would assume it was one tsp. but the book was sloppily edited. Also one recipe listed an ingredient..."hunter's beef". No indication of what type of cut that would be. I have used many cook books, but this one was the worst, thrown together publication I have ever seen. The recipes, if correctly edited, may be very good, but the errors and often confusing terms for ingredients were off-putting. Even the first photo in the book was not identified or followed by the recipe underneath. Although no photos were in color, there were not nearly enough to accompany some of the less familiar recipes. While this author may be a great cook, she reminds me of the brilliant teacher who cannot relate or teach less than brilliant students.

Would not buy again

Got this book out of curiosity for Polish traditional dishes, and let me tell you, it was a pleasant surprise! The recipes are hearty and wholesome, with simple instructions. I like that the book is divided in breakfast, soups, main dishes, appetizers and even pastries and special occations recipes. Way more than I expected!

Polish food is hard to find near me. But this book with it's two hundred recipes, will allow you to eat the Polish food that you love. If you have never tried Polish food it's delicious. This book has things like goulash and Pierogi which are the two polish dishes you have probably heard of.

Very surprised that this colour cover has pages of black and white food. It's ridiculous.I'm returning this book as I consider it poorly illustrated and poor value.

I'm sure the recipes will be good BUT this book is poorly organized and it's super hard to find anything. Did anyone edit?? At least three recipes for haluski scattered throughout under different names. Potato pancakes has wrong photo and is listed under breakfast. Cover says Bigos is included; couldn't find it. Main dish section (meat, poultry,fish) includes babka! Etc, etc. Amazon published this book. Will be cautious before buying another Amazon book.
