Easy to assemble, sturdy, and listed at a great price.

Backstory:I am the head coach of a 14U travel team and own three Bownets.For Christmas this past year my wife thought she would surprise me with another Bownet because at the time I only owned two and had been saying I would like to get a couple more but instead of buying the one with the built in sock net she bought the flat net which I did not like. I had already decided I was going to order another Bownet and buy a replacement net for the one my wife bought me so I would have four nets.While I was getting ready to buy the replacement net I noticed the Powernet and took a look at it. To me it looked just like a bownet except it was red instead of orange. I read the reviews and looked at the pictures and because it was $50 cheaper than an actual Bownet I decided to buy one and the Bownet replacement net. I figured if it sucked I would still have three Bownets. I ended up paying around $175 for both the Powernet and the Bownet replace the net. Around a fifty dollar savings from what I planned to spend.The Review:After unboxing the Powernet I was surprised to see that the actual net itself was really nice. To me it was equal to or better than the Bownet net.The bottom frame is different than the Bownets in that the tubing doesn't seem to be the same thickness and the snap buttons are cheaper. This doesn't mean that it's crappy, just that it is not the same materials. It sets up exactly the same and feel sturdy.The four fiberglass poles seem to be jus a slight bit thicker diameter than Bownets but work exactly the same.After setting it up I felt it was basically the same as the Bownet but $50 dollars cheaper. My daughter thought it was a Bownet just red.We took it out back hit some balls into it and so far haven't had any real problems.I will say though I don't know if it's because the bottom tubing if the frame is a little lighter or if the "legs" don't extend out as far as the Bownet but after the sock has about 15 or so balls in it my daughters hits would actually lift the the front off the ground as if it would tip over. I've never really had that happen with one of the Bownets. Other than that little tidbit the net worked great and has continued to so far.Summary:Basically a Chinese copycat Bownet.Seem to be the same materials (except the bottom frame which to me was not a big deal), same design and same results as a Bownet but $50 cheaper. I like it and am glad I took a shot and bought it.

The Powernet was delivered quickly. Yesterday was the first time for me a 5 feet tall 70 year old grandma setting it up for my grandson. The instruction was pretty simple, but being that it was my first time, it was a little confusing. I put all the poles together, then I realized that I cannot put the net on being the pole was too tall for me,. Finally I took half the poles off, slip the net on, then slip in the second pole. I then bend the pole a little and attached the white loop on the top. I am sure someone taller than me will not have any issue setting It up. It took me about 20 minutes. I am sure future set ups will be easier and quicker for me. Take down was better and quicker for me.The net is good quality. The overall product is made well. I think it will last a long time. The target attachment help with the pitching. I am not sure what the weighted ball will do yet.My 8 year old grandson just started little league. I purchased this to improve his pitching, batting and throwing. He thinks it is the greatest thing. He is having so much fun with it. He practiced pitching and batting into the net. It did not move or fell over. I did not even use the spikes to hold it down. I love that it is portable. You can take it down, put it in the sturdy bag and go any where it it. This is a wonderful product and i am very happy that i purchased it.

Bought this for my kids to play and practice with in the backyard. They are 10 and 8 years old. It works fantastic. Easy setup and takedown. Performance is great. It handles every throw/hit the kids can deliver. I relied on the customer ratings when buying this product and glad I did. Price is significantly cheaper than some competitors. Great buy.

This has been very useful for our 17 and 15 year olds both for batting and pitching practice. Very easy to disassemble and assemble. We are in a pretty high wind area at times and have had no issues. Boy plays Quad A baseball and I can’t imagine they would need anything more or better than this net for home or away practice.
