Midnight Flower: An Anthology of Contemporary Christian Poems

A pretty fantastic anthology of contemporary Christian poetry. The author certainly has a way with words, and has produced a powerful volume here. The pieces are sometimes pensive, sometimes joyful, but always well-written and always displaying a rock-solid foundation of faith and trust.Four of my favorites are the astute parallels revealed in "Double Love," the strong repetition in "Ode to My Master," the gentleness of "Like a Butterfly on a Flower," and the exhuberance of "To Burst Free."Three that just about knocked me out of my seat when reading them were "The Table of Friendship," "Your Home," and "The Prize Possession."When you put them all together, they make up a powerful collection of poems. Very highly recommended.
