This collection of meditations was written by Susannah Spurgeon, wife of the renowned preacher Charles Haddon Spurgeon.She was a gifted writer with insight gained through study and experience.This book was written after the death of her husband, and it ends with her thoughts about his passing and her life without him.I highly recommend this book.

I've read others of Mrs. Spurgeon's writings. The thing that stands out most is her genuine sincerity, and intense love for Christ. Her writing touches a tender chord in my heart and soul! I highly recommend this and her other books to anyone who has a longing to know and experience God in a closer, more intimate way.

Anything written by the wife of the greatest preacher is worth 5 stars. She is just as eloquent as her husband, yet in a much more feminine way.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves Jesus and knows the heartaches of this life on earth but await the glories of Heaven. Mrs Spurgeon shares her heart, her joys, her sorrows, and it is all rooted intheTruth of Gods precious promises to His children.
