ZHENHammered Surface Damascus Santoku 9-1/4" Knife Blank, 4-13/16" L x 5/64" T

Very shabby bolsters.

This is a small Santoku blade, but it is simply an awesome blade. Straight, flat, gorgeous, extremely sharp, easy to build, fantastic to use. My wife says it is her favorite knife. It is not “unwieldy” as some larger Santokus can be (maybe Santoku is not the right name for this as Santoku’s are generally larger). I fitted ours with African Blackwood, I used 5/32” mosaic pins. Did an “elegant” handle shape, sanded down to 400grit and applied very light wipe-on poly. It came out GREAT; I have built several knives and this is one of my all-time faves. Bought two more and will make this a regular part of my line

I ordered 1/8 in Mosaic pins and used Ebony wood for the handles. From there I engraved Japanese style oak leaf clusters around and down the handles and surrounding the pins. I then inlay the engraving with pearl and it came out outstanding. Sharp as can be and a good size for chopping vegetables.

Will purchase again.

Needed new kitchen knives and the kits allow me to customize the handles. Knife blanks are great looking damascus and stay sharp
