First year I've actually gotten fruits off of my plants.
My picture says it all. Couldn't turn it for some reason, sorry.

Didn't work
Followed instructions exactly and the seeds grew but there were no buds or veggies. We've watered daily and followed all instructions and have not gotten any vegetables. What a waste of money.

love this kit
love this kit! it has everything that you need (and more) to grow your own vegetable garden. The seed pods are awesome and the grow bags are huge when you start to fill them with water - I even have one left over since two fit nicely in our balcony planter. We have so many seeds left over to use again.

moist and of a perfect texture to grow
The City Garden was purchased for me as a gift. As a gardener, I must confess i was skeptical.. what would this product do that I wasn't already doing? What was even in this small box? Opening the box I found three bags with a block of something at the bottom of each. 3 seed packs, tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers, several bags of controlled release fertilizer, a little greenhouse for germinating the seeds that had expanding pellets to plant the seeds in, plus.. amazingly complete instructions, all in the cute gable style box..I opened one of the grow bags and peered down at the block. The instructions said to add about a gallon of water. Okay, I poured water into the grow bags and watched in amazement as the blocks expanded to about an inch from the top of the bag. I reached in to touch this growing media and found it to be fluffy, moist and of a perfect texture to grow. I read the box and discovered that this media was made from the husks of coconuts. It was called coco peat or coir and it was amazing! It absorbed water readily, but only as far as needed, the rest easily drained away. So.. as a gardener I easily recognized two qualities most desired for growing: drainage and moisture retentiveness. The directions say to put a fertilizer packet in each bag and water in. This is to prepare the bag for planting the seedlings after they germinate. Next I took my mini greenhouse, hydrated the little discs and planted each one with seeds from the seed packets. In about a week to 10 days, my seedlings had grown to an acceptable transplant size so I planted 3 tomato seedlings in bag one, 3 cucumbers in bag two and 3 peppers in bag three. Watered all and over the next 3 months watched all grow and present me and my family with beautiful tomatoes, delicious cucumbers, and peppers. I so wish I'd taken pictures to share. Through it all, I have to say that the growing media to me, held so much fascination. I've since researched this coco peat and use it regularly in all my pots, Sometime i mix it with some pearlite, sometimes i use it to amend my dry Florida sandy soil and it is just the coolest thing. You an also buy it alone in bricks or blocks. I buy in blocks now. Each 11 lb Block makes 2.5 cu ft of soil! That as much as a big mulch bag!You can't go wrong with The City Garden. Even inexperienced gardeners and kids will love it. Grow your own veggies on your deck on your porch in a sunny window.. just about anywhere.. You'll love it.

Not very good,
This is a bad attempt at a garden kit, We followed the directions and only got 2 plants that actually grew to full maturity but even those plants produced barely anything and were short lived... Just go to the store buy a garden plant and put in a pot with real dirt....
