The Lazar House

Despite so little being know about the Leper House that once stood on the outskirts of Wisbech, Diane has managed to create the hospital buildings and characters which are completely believable. The obnoxious Lady Frideswide makes life unpleasant for all who encounter her and the discovery of her body brings uncertain times for the future of the hospital. A 14th century murder mystery with twists and turns, that leaves you guessing right until the end. Highly recommended!

A very enjoyable 14th century whodunnit that keeps you guessing until the end. Well drawn characters and beautiful depictions of both fen landscapes and buildings. Highly recommended.

An unusual setting which, despite the difficult period in our local history depicted here, turns out to be a gripping mystery with no less than three surprises at the end. As usual, beautifully written and very imaginative.
