Don't Nasty My Nummy: A Captain Picky Adventure

As a third grade teacher, I hunt for books that make a difference for young children. Each Friday I read a picture book to my class that depicts a deep message and offers a lesson about kindness, strength, and endurance.Don’t Nasty My Nummy delivered JUST THAT MESSAGE. This book was written by a dear friend. Although most people say, “Don’t judge a book by its cover!!” I try to teach children… “Do judge a Book by its cover AND let it lead to the the message in side!”Thank you, Sarah, for bringing an important message to my littles. What a great way to incorporate Ricky's animal friends and what they eat. Ricky learns a lot along the way. A great learning experience about all kinds and food, compassion and understanding food. I can't wait to read it to my picky nieces and nephews.

Such a great story for children. I love how it teaches them to honor and respect the various types of foods that people from all backgrounds eat.

I bought this book for my 8 yr old nephew and he loved the story! Great message. Beautiful illustrations, too. Highly recommend!
