This author has written several books on the subject, and this one didn't really meet my expectations of her describing the real global fresh water shortage. It DID have a lot of facts about international organizations naming 'front' organizations - supposedly chartered to alleviate the situation of dwindling supplies, but really a front for private corporations to make money on the water shortage.

Excellent book, a MUST read!!
Read this book for a limnology course, but can't believe it's not a common name like Gore's Inconvenient Truth. This book gives a complete picture on the current situation on global water and how we got here. It's eye opening to see we should be at least as concerned with the global water crisis as we are with climate change. Well-written and organized and definitely inspires change!

Bought it for a sociology class and was shocked at what it revealed about the water bottling companies. I haven't bought any bottled water since I read this book.

Very important and well documented read that encoumpases challenges around the world that should not be avoided, when it comes to providing fresh water to humans. The author establishes her credentials and passion on every page.

Blue Covenant
I would change the picture for the book, just because the hardcover was a bit deceiving from what I thought I purchased. Other than that it was sent on time and the book is in good condition.

It was required for a class (Ecology of Foods)
This book was a required reading for a class. It really sucks how there are some who would curb the water supply of those less powerful. This book is, at least, an eye opener.
