FE Mechanical Practice Exam Perfect Paperback – March 6, 2017

Great in helping me passed my test! :)

I combined this book with the PPI FE Mechanical Eng book (2014 version), and it was a perfect study combination for the exam. The PPI book was more comprehensive, but some of its sections were outdated (check the NCEES website for the subject breakdown; it changes with year). This book is really relevant to the actual exam format and question type, but it’s not long enough to cover the range of possible topics. The combination seemed to be the best resource I could have.If you’ve just finished an ME four-year degree, you’ll probably have a lot of the concepts fresh in your mind, but the practice here is nice to get familiarity with the FE exam. I feel like the two books mentioned are more valuable than the hodgepodge of YouTube videos and online material floating around the internet. You can also time yourself while doing the problems because the time limit was my biggest issue.

This is a great book with helpful solutions. However, it has less than 100 problems, and the FE was at 100+ problems. I felt that this did not provide a wide enough variety of practice unlike the more expensive and expansive Lindeburg FE review and PPEHQ, but it was still invaluable as far as what it targeted. I was able to complete this book in less than a week, but for the same price, PPEHQ offers more practice on a platform that is geared similar to the actual FE.Overall, I would say this book is a perfect sampling of the FE, but I would say pursue other options to get that “guaranteed” pass; not just what to expect.

Was helpful, but would have been better if a full 110 questions were included to better reflect the real exam. Idk why they couldn’t just add 10 more questions.

I passed the fe on the first try using only this as a study guide after being out of school almost 1.5 years. Very similar to the actual questions if you can navigate this you can navigate the FE

The majority of the problems in this book take less than 3 minutes to solve. Similar to the exam.

Definitely help me prepare for the exam. The problems were very similar and gave me a good idea of what to expect.

This is a great product to use to study for the Mechanical FE exam. Studied this book the 2 days before the test and passed the test on the first try. The exam problems are similar format to the ones shown in this book. The problems on the exam are in a similar order as listed in this book. Helpful hint for those who are studying for the exam.
