This is a chefs knife with a blade 9 in long, 2 in wide, and 1/8 in thick at the spine. The blade is made from a ladder pattern welded blade of about 150 layers. The steels are 1095 and 15n20. It has been hardened and tempered to a high hardness for edge retention (RC 62). The handle is made with dyed and stabilized mammoth tooth pinned in between front and rear bolsters of Aluminium. All work from making the pattern welds, through forging, heat treat, and finish work was done by me.
