Genuine Hyundai 31911-2D000 Fuel Filter Assembly

Perfect fit. Make sure you swap over all gaskets and pieces to the new filter. Especially the rubber hidden gasket when you flip your original filter over ...see 2nd picture provided.

I have an 05 Hyundai Elantra with 50,000 miles on it, it runs well but was experiencing some sluggishness on takeoff and up hills. Hyundai recommends replacement of the fuel filter at 52,000 miles so I decided to go ahead and do it now to see if it would remedy my problem. Problem solved!It's not a hard job, you have to remove the complete fuel pump assembly from the tank which you acces through the floor under the back seat. Also you want to replace the fuel strainer with ( Airtex FS240 ) at the same time.

Wow. My fuel filter area was nasty. The attached pictures don't do the nastiest justice. Little black flakes everywhere.This part fit. Takes a newbie about 1.5 to 2 hours. Don't forget the pre filter at bottom of pump. (Another review mentions the exact part number).IMPORTANT : There is a small "cap", 2 O rings and plastic spacer that needs to be transferred from old. My second picture shows that.There is a review that says their car didn't start after installing this filter. I'm pretty sure they missed transfer of these O rings , plastic spacer...and cap. Without transferring these O rings, there is no sealing, aka no suction ... thus no gas movement. There is very little chance a new filter could be so clogged that no gas flows.

This product is not for a 2007 Hyundai Sonata fuel pump assembly like it claims. The correct filter has notches to snap into housing and holes for the long bolts with springs to go through for c-clips to hold top assembly to the filter then those notches ( like I said ) hold the bottom half if the assembly on to the filter. I wasted 3 hours taking it out to find out it was wrong another 3 hours putting it back together and into tank with original filter still on it. I can only hope to help someone else NOT buy this if you have 2007 Sonata

Perfect replacement, I had some trouble because I didn't know about the second rubber gasket in the larger tube that connects directly to the pump. If you make sure to swap BOTH sets of gaskets (the other set goes on the tallest tube, has three rubber donuts inside a plastic cap) then it'll work perfectly.
