Wigwam Master F1061 Sock

I had the Crew 60 --vertical ribbed a little TOO THIN and not all cotton.I had the King Cotton-- a little TOO THICK, only good for (one full size) "over-size-hand-me-down" shoes.The MASTER COTTON IS JUST RIGHT and all cotton for a more dry feeling! Even if they don't have the same old quality... They are still the best value and comfort for me. I ordered the "12" and it is just right for mens size 9 foot.

As for the socks themselves, I always loved them. They are basically all cotton and generally comfortable. Before these, the last I purchased were in the Berkshire Mayer outlet store and I never had a problem. the socks always fit. However, the socks apparently are sized 6-10, which in my estimation is an awful big difference! These socks are very long! I am a size 7M and I would say the 1 pair is an 8 1/2 and the other pair is most definitely a size 10!!! Luckily, I only wear them around the house and not in a sneaker, so it's not so bad. Had I completed this review before I purchased the socks on Amazon, I'd have given them a "5" but since the socks are so big, they are even a little uncomfortable in my slippers (so I usually kick off the slippers!)

I wanted a comfortable, all-cotton, American-made sock at an affordable price. Wigwam Master Cotton Socks fits the profile. I gave all my Nike and Haynes athletic socks to charity. I now wear Wigwam Master Cotton Socks exclusive.

I have used these Wigwam Master 100% cotton socks for years. They have always been great until this last order. The ones I just received don't even seem like the same socks. They have really reduced the thickness, quality, and durability of these socks. Holes wore in these socks after only about two months of wear. DO NOT BUY these socks anymore. They do not last. It is a shame too because they where good socks before. Why did they change them?Update, 1/15/15: I contacted Wigwam. These socks are covered by a 2 year satisfaction warranty. They told me to send all of the socks back to them that I was not satisfied with. They sent me replacement socks for every pair. The only thing I had to pay for was shipping back to Wigwam. They also told me that they have restored the quality of these socks. The replacement socks that I received were of much higher quality again. So far they seem as good as the originals that I was accustom too I am changing my review from 1 to 5 stars.Update, 3/30/20 I went to order some socks again and now it appears that the socks are not 100% cotton anymore. It looks like they are now 93% cotton instead. Why would they make them not 100% cotton. I cannot use socks with synthetics in them and I have to look elsewhere for my socks. They should have just raised the cost and kept them at 100% cotton. They would have retained a customer that way. Instead I'm spending my money elsewhere.

The sock both for me and my son was very comfortable on the first try. after the first washing it was even more comfortable and conforms to the foot( does not squeeze or feel too loose)

The sockless too thick for my use in a tight shoe. However a friend that may only wear cotton appreciated at greatly as a gift.

'Wigwam' over the years responds negatively to customer (as 30 years ago, No change), is not responsive to customer requests or notes on how to improve. EX: I need ladies size Wigwam 100% Cotton socks; would like red color choice again - esp in winter Christmas/Valentines; Coustomer needs an easy, time and cost-effective (for the consumer) replacement of very defective socks with ALL loose threads - Wigwam Never replaced mine 30 years ago. I swiched to DAVIDO Women socks crew made in italy 100% cotton, (with elastic at band?).

Cotton socks provide comfort, warmth and durability. Cost a little more but are worth the price.
