AAVIX AGT311 2.5Amp 9-Inch Electric String Lawn Trimmer, Blue

There are many good things about this trimmer. It is easy to put together and only takes a few minutes to assemble. I was not expecting much for $15, but when I first turned it on I was amazed at just how powerful the motor was. It easily cuts through weeds with 1/4" stems. The manual that comes with this trimmer is easy to understand and not written in broken English. The only thing really bad about this trimmer is the cutting string. It takes a .05 inch cutting string. Good luck finding any locally. I was told that Walmart carries it, but they do not (tried several). Home Depot is supposed to sell it also but they also do not, Your only real option is to modify the unit by drilling out bigger holes for the string to pass through. I did not want to open up that can of worms, so I returned my unit. However for $15 this unit is a real bargain, once you fix the cutting sting issue.

These really are worth their price. I used one to mow my lawn for several weeks since I didn't have enough money to buy a lawn mower. Ok so it took a bit longer with its nine inch swath vs like what, 21 inches for a lawn mower, but I'm just saying, these little babies cut through everything that you could reasonably expect them to cut. It was the cheapest string trimmer. It assembled easily. It worked great for 1 minutes. Then there was no string anymore. I tried tapping it on the ground, and nothing happened. I tried to open it per the instructions to see if there was still some string on a spool, and I was not able to get it to open at all. I tried several stores, home depot, hardware stores, etc, to try to get help. No one could figure it out. I also tried to find replacement string for it, and couldn't find its specs for string. Not even from other internet sites.So now it is useless, and I want to return it.

Did not work well, not powerful

The product is extremely good and works as expected. Wish it was a bit taller so that you don't have to bend always.

Works good but is a bit heavy

I bought this for my dad. However, he used it only once and it started smoking and then dad let it cool but it didn't help. Dad replaced the motor in it. Although I would have preferred him to let me return to see about a new one.
